I completed my last year of my bachelor's, my master's, and in August - I start my doctorate. This school has been a saving grace for me as an adult learner. I can't say a single negative thing about my university. From the professors, the curriculum, to the overall student experience has been exceptional. For the education I am receiving, it is worth every penny. It's not an expensive education considering what I have learned and the village that has been behind me to thrive. If there was a downside to the university, I'd say parking services sucks and they are determined to collect your money. Watch out when you park and pay attention to ensure you park in the correct lot. If you don't - it is going to cost you extra money you don't want to unnecessarily spend. Speaking from recent experience, but I digress. I guess I have officially had my right of passage to receive a parking ticket. MTSU is great for remote learning and easy to understand for those who might not believe that online education is a good fit for them. MTSU caters to those working folks who may not be able to dedicate their entire life to schooling and have other obligations outside of their educational career. I am one of them minus the pandemic. I completed my entire master's online in 3 semesters due to being a full-time student. It was the best way for my to utilize my time during very a very unpredictable year. I do not regret my decision to get it out of the way. The pandemic shifted a lot in our lives and this was the best track for me to take to thrive. Now, with my doctorate on the horizon, I look forward to working full-time while attending part-time. Recognizing the busy schedule that I will have; I could not ask for a better school to walk with me through this educational journey that I am about to endure.

We have had the experience of several of the teachers and each have been just amazing. He has shown tremendous improvement in all areas of early childhood development - vocabulary and language, reading, writing, numbers, geography and overall social skills. All credit goes to the dedicated teachers, the Montessori curriculum and the class environment this school has created for children. The great thing about this school is that it is nothing like a typical day-care. It follows a popular Montessori system where teachers follow a curriculum to teach specific skills to children based on their age and ability. The flexible system allows children to pick up on things they love to do, master it and then move on to something new. I found the school environment homey & comfortable yet professional and safe. The classes are big and bright with tons of educational material. Another thing I love about this school is that the teachers are very honest with you and work with you to help your child in areas that they need extra help with. We found all of that (and more!) at Smyrna Christian School. SCS has helped our child learn how to play, work together, and establish great friendships. They have continuously provided materials/activities that interest our child (and challenge her!) They have encouraged our child's efforts (which has truly aided in adding to her confidence.) They set clear limits for behavior (which is appreciated!) I love always receiving our child's drawings, writings, and crafts at the end of every week. They encourage parental involvement (which goes back to the whole "community feel") and welcome parental participation with class parties. How beautiful is that?! I truly cannot say enough GOOD about this establishment. Before we found SCS, our only-child went to a "glorified daycare" preschool and for so long, we didn't know how much it was hindering our child. It wasn't until we moved and enrolled at SCS that we saw our child turn a complete 180 in every aspect of her life that we realized what EXCELLING truly meant. Every morning we are greeted with a smile and a "Good Morning" from Miss Jodi in the office, and all along the hallways my kiddo happily says hello to all the teachers. They're all very friendly and engage your child in conversation which makes them feel seen and heard, and important. She just loves talking with them on the way to her classroom. Her teacher is Miss Vickie, and she just adores her. She is kind and attentive, and a wonderful human being. My daughter has learned SO much this year, and she loves doing it! They learn Spanish, colors, numbers, writing, and she even comes home telling me about the fun centers they have in class, and how silly George Washington's wig is! I love how happy she is there, and how much she's grown in her independence and knowledge. I'm convinced that a better school does not exist. Truly, it has been the biggest blessing for our child.
