Our LearningRx Experience with Evie When Evie first started LearningRx, we knew she was bright, but we also knew she was struggling with reading, problem-solving, and confidence when things got difficult. We hoped LearningRx would help, but we never imagined just how much she would grow. The transformation has been incredible. Her reading has improved tremendously, she's become a stronger problem solver, and most importantly, she's gained confidence in herself. Instead of giving up when something feels hard, she's much more willing to work through the challenge and trust herself. The people at LearningRx made all the difference. We have enjoyed a terrific experience at LearningRx Woodbury. From the initial assessment which identified his areas of weakness and strengths, to the final assessment where we saw incredible growth, it has been a terrific brain strengthening adventure! My son is challenged with slower processing speeds and difficulty with his working memory. The program targets those weaknesses by practicing many procedures which help strengthen those areas and others, such as reasoning skills and audio processing. Working that brain in a rigorous training program is a great solution for kids and adults challenged with these types of deficits. This is not a tutoring program, it is a life skills program! read more

We are raving fans of LearningRX! We had exhausted options from our son's school, specialists, and other learning facilities. No tests provided any insight as to why our otherwise high-academic son was having trouble reading. As parents, we were sad and frustrated. We went to LearningRX for an evaluation, and their test results shined a bright light on a previously hidden issue - our son had terrible memory!! LEARNING RX I am at a loss as to what to say first. I am a guardian and grandmother of a student,Jayden. Jayden is a sweet lovable kid. Who lost his mother very early. From the time I took over as his guardian, I constantly fought with the school districts. Always fighting for a free federal education that all other kids get without fighting for their basic rights. Jayden is very smart, but no one wanted to see it in him. Jayden got more frustrated by the day.I listen to radio and heard a advertisement for Learning Rx. I picked up the phone and have never even once regreted that move. From the time we walked in there doors everything seemed so different and they truly cared. The staff worked very hard to win his trust, and they did very quickly. Jayden is very tall and he had this very sweet small lady that he loved and talked about constantly. As I sat in waiting room day after day I realized why he loved it there. They Cared first of all and foremost. There challenged him repeatly,over and over until he expected that and rose to the occasion every day. He did not want to graduated from the program he was in because he loved it there. They now were part of his family and his future. If you are looking for a Light at the end of your tunnel for your struggles with your child. First Review (July 2015) We put our 7/8 yr old daughter through LRX and were incredibly happy. It was obviously a big decision b/c it is a significant time and financial commitment. We quickly saw progress at the beginning, which plateaued a bit in the middle and then accelerated again in the last month. I was surprised how holistic the changes were. It impacted not just her ability to learn and process academics. But it also positively changed her ability to control emotions, be more adaptable, less argumentative and improved listening (when we'd ask her to do something, she'd quickly pivot from what she was doing). It truly changed her for the better. The second half of the program was over the summer, so I'll be curious how it impacts her school work in the fall. The LRX team was upfront that you don't necessarily see her catch up on curriculum as a result of this program. Which I found to be true. But it should change her ability to focus and learn new things at a quicker pace. I'm optimistic of this but don't have tangibles (i.e. grades) since she's not in school right now. I definitely recommend this program! 10/27/15 I wanted to build on my last review since my daughter completed the training in July. I was anxiously awaiting her to get back in school and see what improvements came to fruition. As a reminder, my daughter completed the program when she just turned 8. I wasn't sure if she was too young to get the optimal results. But I hoped that at a young age, her brain was more moldable and it'd give her a great baseline to build off of. We continue to be thrilled with the results... In my first review, I shared some of the personality changes that we saw. Here's a few things that we've seen academically: - Transition in to school year was far easier than previous years - Although her reading cadence is still a little slow, she's caught up in her 'level' and is at grade level (versus slightly behind) - Memorizing spelling is SO much easier. We used to drill them in to her all week long. Now she seems to pick them up much quicker and is even able to get most of the 'challenge' words right. Last year she seldom got those right and didn't have the confidence to even want to work on those. - Willingness to do homework is DRAMATICALLY better. She used to fight it, say she hated homework, crumple up her paper and throw it at us, tell us she's stupid, etc... Heartbreaking. What should take 10 min would take an hour of fighting, consuming our weeknights. Now, she knows what needs to be done, focuses and cranks through it. - I overheard her telling a friend (who said that 2nd grade is 'so hard'), that she thought it was easy. - Significant confidence boost - On her MAP (state) testing in September, she tested at 94th percentile for math and 70th percentile for reading. Highly recommend and I'm considering putting my younger child through it. Not because she's struggling, but because I feel that it's a foundation that would maximize her potential in life. My daughter is just finishing up the program. At the beginning we looked at what she would be doing and were overwhelmed at how challenging it seemed. As she got into the program we realized that she was having success at the different challenges and was feeling such a sense of accomplishment. She loves going every time and when we talk about her graduation day she says, "That will be the worst day of my life because I won't get to go anymore!" as she so enjoys her trainer and time there. read more
