They r a rental company for a unit in the same building at a friend's condo. They ILLEGALLY called Santee Cooper to get the power turned off to the unit without contacting Waccamaw management. Needless to say, when I confronted Megan about this...her reply was Monica at Waccamaw knew. Waccamaw management doesn't have anyone w that name there, but nice try! (She said I was yelling, my reply "I'm not yelling I'm literally saying something u are upset with because u don't want to hear the truth and u don't like what I am saying." ...I can yell if she wants but I'm Italian, she doesn't want that, and I prefer not to because it gets u nowhere, when her boss listens to the recording or whoever she answers to, they can hear it for themselves, she lies!) Next time say Karen or Kelly, u might have better luck as they r more common names than Monica. After exhausting some time to figure out what happened. Santee Cooper was TOLD by this company that they were the management company for the entire complex, and they allowed all 8 units in one building to be shut down. Why did they circumvent Waccamaw u ask? Because they would not have gotten confirmation fast enough to make the appointment with Santee, she didn't care about the other 7 units not being notified or having ANY electric on the coldest day of the year so far. (Under 30 and frost everywhere, u turn off power to people with animals and kids?) And you didn't even have any permission from Waccamaw to do this!!!! Do better. Take accountability say you are sorry and do not repeat the horrible behavior you did. I contacted both Waccamaw and Santee Cooper. They are making sure that your company can never do this again to another person. And if they don't, and I hear this happening again, it shows a pattern of behavior that does not care about anyone else but their unit. Looking at the reviews tells me everything I need to know. Do better or don't work in that industry. But you are the reason why people have slumlords or why people complain constantly about rental units. You do not care about the people you do not care about the unit or anyone else in the building. Do better. Megan Nassio or however it is, Siri couldn't even translate ur last name lol, why? This is a terrible management company. I had terrible experience with them. they keep part of your rental and use it for so called maintenance without inform property owner. I will not waste your time reiterating all of the issues that have been shared by others in their reviews. They are all true, however. I would like to focus on the unethical behavior, the dishonesty and the total lack of ethics that this company embodies. They lie, they mislead and if I had let them - they would have stolen the deposit from my renter. They talk a good game - but they do not walk their talk. Beware of this organization or you too will spend your time and your efforts recovering what should have been yours in the first place. As Julie stated 3 years ago, this is a poorly run management company. I hate to leave negative reviews, but this one is necessary. I've lived in an apartment managed by them for a few years now and whenever there's an issue, it's difficult to get ahold of someone, and it doesn't get resolved for weeks. I end up having to contact the apartment owner directly to get anything done (which defeats the point of having a management company). For example: A week after I called and left a message about an issue, someone randomly showed up to my apartment about the issue without letting me know first, then the maintenance department called me later that day "following up" about my issue, and he didn't even know that someone just came by to look at it. Please do not rent a property from them, long term or short term. Seriously. Don't do it. I don't care how cool the property is, just do yourselves a favor and find another rental company and let the owner know they should find a different management company. Here are the reasons why: 1. When we contacted the management company, they told us they needed an application for the unit per person. That is $50 per person on the application. I thought that was a little excessive but continued the process knowing the rental property had so much to offer. For the exact same unit, 2954 Howard Ave. we paid $1050 a month. For this unit that was managed by Strand Management we would pay $1400 a month. They explained that it was because the townhouse was renovated prior to our move-in. I thought that it was strange that we were paying a higher market price because of the previous renters trashing the place resulting in them renovating. Truth is, I appreciated the new floors so we just went with it. 2. We also knew that we would have access to the community pool which was confirmed by Kim Poore, the associate handling our lease. We were told we would be provided with a mailbox key. After signing the lease and calling obsessively they tell us that we don't get either. We had to go to the post office and buy a key to our mailbox! We had to buy the right to receive mail at this location, and the rental company didn't think to mention that prior to signing the lease??? Seriously??? 3. We were told that they wanted us to move-in as early as possible so we end up begging our rental at the time to let us out of the lease early to get into the new place. It caused a lot of stress and arguments for us but we thought it would be worth it. Until we were informed that the rental wasn't ready from it's renovation just days before our move-in. Just another item to add to the what would-be laundry list of crap they fed us. 4. We get into the unit and we are very excited about our newly renovated home until we see what looks like railroad spike pushed through the ceiling. After moving in we sent in a maintenance request for the severe water damage on our half bathroom window and for the spike hanging through the ceiling. We were told by maintenance that these items wouldn't be held against us and that it was just a problem with the property. Well then.. Thats funny that we are paying $300 more in the market price for this newly renovated home but are blatantly staring at water damage that could lead to serious mold problems and a FREAKING SPIKE HANGING THROUGH THE CEILING.... RIGHT NEXT TO ELECTRICAL LIGHT FIXTURE. .... Whatever.. The place is in the middle of Market Commons so we just pretend like we don't care. 5. When signing the lease, you are told that your security deposit goes towards reasonable repairs. Just remember that. REASONABLE REPAIRS. Which also means repairs that are associated with your occupancy. Weeks before our move-out, we see the sink is leaking. We send in a maintenance request. The guy comes and looks at it and then just leaves. We never hear from him again and we end up leaving our trashcan under the leak because we felt bad for the people who live below us. The management company had no desire to repair these items. I guess they figured, "they can live with it, their moving out soon." Really? Thats just great It's like water damage is no big deal to them. I worry for the owner of this home we rented. Moving on to the security deposit refund. Mind you they take a pet security deposit that is non-refundable. When I asked them why they felt it should be non-refundable, Anita Batcchi the other associate literally told me, "BECAUSE WE CAN." I couldn't tell why or at what point Anita felt that it was appropriate to answer any question that any tenant has saying "BECAUSE WE CAN." But rest assured, I checked EVERYWHERE for the plaque hanging on the wall.. the one that says, "Tactless and Arrogant Women of the Year." I'm being honest, she hasn't won the award yet but she sure is deserving of it. Several scenarios throughout the rollercoaster ride of signing this lease she earned this award. Anyways.. When we move in we see the leftover paint left for us. I thought that it was nice, they were trying to help us out when we move-out. I've lived in many places, and many times they tell us to just cover-up an holes with spackle and leave it at that. I try to go above and beyond in taking care of holes such as that and I did the same for this place. They charged me $1009 to have the entire townhouse painted. When I sent them a letter asking why I was charged for the fresh painting of the townhouse, I assumed completed for the new renters they said the walls had mis-matching paint. REALLY? Because the painter you used in renovations left cheetah white spots everywhere because the paint they used was cheap and crap and we didn't complain.. AVOID THEIR SCAM!! They have no intention of refunding deposits!! read more

This is a very poorly run property management company. It is impossible to get a return call in a timely manner (I'm talking weeks, not days, and after all that time we still don't get a response and we have to start calling them again to try to get things resolved). Nobody ever knows what's going on. Our concerns are never addressed or resolved properly. I really wish I could give 0 stars.. Horrible experience. NEVER go here if you want an apartment. All these people care about is money, and not human life. My room is a joke I have NO laundromat, NO dishwasher, my rug is disgusting, the microwave barely works, stains on the walls when I first moved in, and I can go on with the list to be honest. I think a 2nd grader is smarter than Trey he's not educated, he stutters a lot and you can tell he's trying to scam you from the start. Talking to him gets you no where. The other two are clueless, as well. I have a eating disorder & home sick & they refuse to let me leave until someone claims my room which will never happen because the room is a disgrace. They're a bunch of scammers & thieves. I'd recommend and STRONGLY advise to go ANYWHERE but here. I'll most likely be reporting them. HORRIBLE experience. read more

DEAR PROPERTY OWNERS! DO NOT USE THIS MANAGEMENT COMPANY! THEY WILL NOT REPAIR THINGS IN YOUR PROPERTY! AND THEY HAVE A TERRIBLE HISTORY. This was my first rental experience and I will be a little bit more picky next time. Upon moving into the outdated condo, they sent a maintenance man out to paint over water stains on the ceiling that leads from the livingroom to the bedroom. That should have been my first sign that I had just rented an overpriced slum property. After the hurricane in 2016, They sent out an email wanting tenants to report of any damages to the property. I sent three emails stating that my third floor unit had a leaky ceiling. It was leaking from every vent in the home and even in the bedroom closet. The water was pouring in on one of my couches. After dealing with another three months of no response, I moved out. I cannot remember the office manager's name right at this moment but she was horribly rude and unprofessional. The lady that I actually signed papers with at the beginning of my lease was AWESOME! She even quit there after a few months of me being there because she found them to be rude and verbally abusive. Ever since, I have had a bogus chargeoff from "RENTDEBT" in collections on my credit. Being that THEY broke THEIR contract, this is now a criminal action. Thankfully, I have a good lawyer. AND, just happened to meet the actual owner of the condo....Word spreads fast. read more

Last week I called this company and ask was there any 2bedroom apartments available. The lady told me yes and to stop by later on that day to check the apartment out. So I'm like cool I'll stop by when I get off from work. So I finally get there and she see who I am. All of sudden everything changes. oh we don't have any 2bedroom apartments available! I guess cause I have dreads which I understand give people a certain look at me. I guess she was judging the book by its cover cause and not trying to read a couple of pages. Trey Morgan is a nightmare to deal with. I will never recomend them to my Real Estate clients looking to rent. I wished I looked at reviews before telling my girlfriend she should sign a 12 moth lease with them. Lease included cable and they wouldn't come hook it it for the first 6 months after multiple work orders and phone calls. Charged for deep cleaning when the place looked great and even was told during the pre walk through that it looked great but still tacked on a $150 charge alone with many other charges not advise during the pre walk through the day of Turing in keys. I'm just letting everyone know to please look at reviews before leasing from a company of any kind. read more

Be careful sign rental agreement with this company. They are perfect until you move out of the unit. They take advantage of their customers and bill them with all kind of nonsense items. They will charge you damages you are not responsible for or for cleaning carpet when the carpet needed to be replaced after such a long time of every day usage.
