Maybe it was the cold weather... It sure as hell couldn't have been the lights, fog lights, heater fan, rear defroster, radio and cell phone charger that were left on while the car was off to bee filled up. Nope... Couldn't have been that at all. After filling up the car wouldn't start. They gas station attendants helped push our car out of the way so other customers could get gas. They had us push the car over towards a Bronco in the parking lot. Next they I know what of the attendant was opening the hood of the Bronco and handing my jumper cables. Soon our car was started and we were on our way. He didn't have to help us, but I'm sure glad he did. It took us 5 and a half hours to get home. It could have been way worse without his help. Staff is always the same, and a couple of them know me by name. Considering that access is sometimes tricky due to traffic, this is a decent gas station. Another tip: If you aren't getting fuel, park in the lot just south of the store. At this time, it is the lot for a vacant building. Almost always empty, and easy access to NB McLoughlin and Main streets.

We saw a few gas stations but decided upon the Fred Meyers station in order to combine our gas stop with a drop in to the grocery store. Access (5/5). Easy on/off 26 (including one entrance at a traffic light), and easy access maneuverability to the pumps. As mentioned, there's also easy access to the main Fred Meyers store. Service. (4.5/5). This station had full service pumps. Being from a different state, we hadn't seen these in many years. The attendant was friendly, and helpful, reminding us that there's a discount with a Fred Meyers loyalty card. We have a membership but didn't have the card with us. He successfully put our telephone number in to get the discount. The "full service" only included pumping the gas; we're of an age that we remember when the attendant would also wash the windshield. We're not sure if there were self-service lanes. Value. (4/5). We paid $3.61/gallon (Sept 14, 2024), which included a $0.03/gallon membership discount. The gas station in Welches was advertising $3.55 on their sign. We're rounding up our rating to 5.0.
