I first retained the firm back in March after initially speaking with Arthur about the case . The first court appearance as I paid the firm I was expecting full representation but instead the firm sent an associate attorney to get a adjournment. I wasn't informed prior to this just surprised and confused ..SECOND court appearance, Russ showed up with barely any background on the case asking me few questions before the hearing to in my opinion try to wing it ..he started off recommending something on the case that was actually hurtful to my case -come to find out and I was even more confused about his strange try. 3rd court appearance Russ didn't show (court appearance I paid for) and sent Connor to make an appearance but that was embarrassing because the JUDGE went on the record and started to shame Russ for his behavior of not appearing in court. The DA and the whole court room was just standing there shocked! I tried to stick it out with the firm and give them another chance but later realized it was best we go our separate ways as they kept charging more money for minimum service. based upon things I mentioned I initiated a charge back for the fees I paid for when Russ didn't appear as the judge did mention on the record I should be entitled for my money back ! In August , Russ sent an associate attorney to court to be relieved but this person went on the record and made false statements against me in front of the judge this was in retaliation in my opinion for the chargeback! This firm has unethical practice! As I informed Russ after I spoke with MULTIPLE attorneys in this matter I was brought to see that this firm wasn't the best representative after all so after I left my initial review on Google Yes I did decide to delete it because I myself needed to understand the proper professional conduct on how this lawyer should of handled my case which is 1.) Show up for every court appearance not just pick and choose with appearance to make and then come to court with NO STRATEGY !! 2.) It wasn't a Fraudulent chargeback as he claimed The Judge went on court record and even stated that your behavior of not showing up was unethical !!! This was a Judge not me! So please be clear.. 3.) After that you sent a associate attorney to court to make false statements about me filing a charge back to my bank but purposely withheld the fact that you didn't show up twice! this was retaliation and you know it .. you firm has a history of clients coming forward with the same type of behavior that I experienced and it's not okay !!! People on Yelp can easily see this stuff ..it's not just me you take the money and do little to no work on the case ..You never even showed me the Discovery in the case ..you came to court and Recommended the DA do something that actually was against my case come to find out .. 3.) I never expected the firm to represent me for free that's absurd no firm represents a client for free... and anyway I have PROOF Russ bribed me $1,000 to not post a negative review of the firm and tell my experience which is very unethical and not okay In my opinion this firm is very money hungry and once the retainer is signed it's all about how to get more money out of you.... read more

So, I have gotten arrested for the first time ever and charged for "assault in the 3rd degree", after I called the police for help, because my roommate assaulted my son and after me (go figure...). Because she has mere scratches, the P.O decided to arrest me. After 24hrs in jail, I was served an order of protection that prevented me to access my own home. Although it is a misdemeanor, and many would say not to worry, for my future it meant a lot. In few words I would have to stop dreaming big and settle for what would be given to me. I found Lebedin & Kofman online and decided to call around 10-11pm, Russ Kofman answered my phone. He set me at ease right after looking me up and hearing my side of the story. Mr. Kofman invited me to a meeting the next day, he was very pleasant and understanding. For the first time since the arrest, I felt like someone was actually listening to me, understood me and was ready to help me. The court date was on April 27th, yet within a week after hiring him, Mr. Kofman had me an ACD with sealing in 6 months, I declined it and told him to find better options. And he did, by April 27th I was offered an ACD with immediate sealing, but with a 6 month restraining order against me for the so-called victim. At the bar, I was really scared and exhausted and didn't really understand what was going on, until once out, Mr. Kofman confirmed that I was free to go to my home, and that I had been granted an ACD with immediate sealing and NO restraining order( which means that my future's goals are not down the drain). I went back to my house the same day, and Mr. Kofman made sure to check-in later and confirm that I was fine. I would definitely recommend him to anyone, and -God forbid I ever need him again- but if so, he will definitely be my first call. Don't think about it twice, just call them. read more
