Everything was easy breezy and we didn't even meet until close to the ceremony! And even though we only met once before the wedding weekend, The photographers were actually such a fun presence with us on our big day that they felt like friends we had known and invited as guests to our wedding! They had a great way of leading us into amazing shots and poses but still allowing for natural, organic interactions making beautiful candids. Her turnaround was so fast with all our photos, and she was incredibly patient as it took us WAY too long to make our selections for our photo book. I'm not what you would call a "girlie girl," so the idea of picking out outfits and posing for photos was completely new and a bit scary for me. We started with a phone call and Michael did a great job of walking me through outfit choices and suggestions. The day of, I met him at his studio. He was absolutely delightful. Professional, respectful, funny, calming, and flattering, the perfect combination to calm you down and make you feel good about yourself. He knew exactly what to say to help me relax and get the shot. What I loved most was the process. Due to the way the studio is set up, we could take a series of photos, then go and sit down and take a look at the photos. This allowed for us to discuss lighting, colors, and positioning. Before taking another series. After I choose the photos I was happy with, Michael "finalized them" with some minor edits and emailed me the final photos. Even then he was willing to make some changes. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Something I initially dreaded turned into an amazing and even fun time. I highly recommend Michael and will definitely return for future photography needs.

It was time for me to get some corporate headshots and my employer was not about to spend any money in hiring a professional for me. I decided I owed it to myself to put my best face forward. I searched for portrait photographers with a studio in Springfield, and Michael Epaul came up. First, I will say, that this trend of photographers not having a studio baffles me. I would never consider someone a professional if they did not have a professional work space! That being said, Michael Epaul Photography has a gorgeous, cozy studio, so you don't have to worry about a setting. For the ladies, or anyone interested, hair & makeup can be added to your session. This worked out well because it took the pressure off me of having to arrive at the studio in perfect condition. And then the headshots began. From start to finish, the process was streamlined. Prompt communication via text and/or email worked very well. I was given about 20 pictures to choose from; I picked one and was given 2 versions of it. And don't tell anyone, but....Michael was able to ahem....touch up things about me in a natural way (aka he took away the 10 lbs the camera adds). Overall, very satisfied with this portrait session and look forward to doing business with this photographer in the future. NOTE: on site parking, accepts credit cards, and photographer does more than just portraits (weddings mitzvahs and more!)

Brian was flexible, willing to listen and shoot any ideas that were given to him. Brian worked well with our videographer, and provided us with some sample photos and a USB drive in a very nice little box, great presentation! It did not take long at all to get this box and subsequently the digital access to all of our pictures! We would recommend Brian again and again!

I bought a family photo shoot from my wife as a birthday present. It was a last minute birthday…read moregift as I did not know what to get her. I found his website from a google search and I am glad I did. It was easy to pay for a session on-line. Then I printed a copy of his homepage and put it in a birthday card. The next day I got a call from Brian saying he had received payment for a family session. He then asked me what I was looking for. We decided on going to Look Park for the shoot as we like the outdoors; we got married there too so it was fitting. We made an appointment to meet at the park at noon. My family and I arrived at the garden house parking lot at 11:50. Brian drove into the lot at 11:52; he had already driven around the park to scope out some places that would make for good pictures. He was very punctual. We brought a few of our son's favorite stuffed toys and a blanket. Brian opened his trunk and surprised us with a set of balloons and a cute wooden chair for him to sit it. That was cool. We made the plan of parking by the visitors center and we would walk the loop of the park and take pictures as we go. We did not want a lot of posed pictures; we wanted more casual and laid back ones. Brian was very good at giving us that little bit of direction that made the photos look so much better. He listened to what we wanted and he helped us get exactly what we wanted. He seemed very knowledgeable about photography. I don't know much about photography, but he would explain to us the different lighting of the sun and knew what scenes made the best pictures. Brian was fun to work with, easy to communicate with (email, over the phone and in person) and he knew what he was doing. We really love his website. All the photos are available for everyone to see and you can buy all sorts of things with the pictures on them (prints of all sizes, coffee mugs, cards, shirts, stamps etc.) I highly recommend Brian for your photo needs.
