Lech is amazing. I needed some custom photography for a website build... and I needed it fast (like, next day). We cannot recommend Lech Naumovich Photography enough. Lech took such amazing family shots of us and our nearly 2-year old toddler. Family pictures are extremely important to us, but it's not always easy to get a toddler to cooperate. Lech is super great with kids ... and adults. He had us all laughing the whole time, and our little trooper never complained even once, during the entire 2-hour-plus photo session. Lech has a great eye for creating touching moments that really bring the photos to life. Lech also has a very keen artistic style; his photos are stunningly beautiful! Anyone listening to us "ooh" and "ah" as we looked through the finished product a 3rd and 4th time, might have thought something else was going on. Transit and Trails, a project that helps people Find, Plan, Share trips outside, hired Lech Naumovich Photography the last two years for our biggest event of the year, the Alt. Ride. It is a very long day of biking and taking transit to the biggest peaks in the San Francisco Bay Area. He did an amazing job taking some of remarkable photos. Clearly, if you view Lech's website and blog, he is a very talented photographer. He seems to capture the beauty in nature, the magic in a special moment and the sweetness of little kids. But what you can't necessarily see on his websites is his ability to connect and relax people. Unlike the sample pictures on his website, we hired Lech (he was referred to us) to do headshot photos. It felt like such a waste to have such a great photographer do just boring headshots. Wish we could have used his talents for more creative pictures. But I suppose making a group of Type A people relax and as our marketing group said, "look approachable and fresh" is not an easy task! We had attorneys and employees flying in to one location for a weekend retreat and decided to use the opportunity to re-do our website photos. Since I organized the retreat for our firm, I worked with Lech closely all afternoon to make sure things went smoothly. I found Lech easy to work with as we tried to cram a lot of sittings into a short time frame. People were early, flights were delayed, people were tired from traveling all day ... but Lech was flexible. He was encouraging and managed to get even our more serious folks to loosen up. Our pictures (mine included!) came out great. Our folks (and trust me attorneys can be very critical and hard to please) seemed very satisfied with their final pictures and the experience as a whole. I wouldn't hesitate to use Lech again for professional or personal photos. You'll enjoy your time with him and love your pictures too! read more

We hired Lech to do our engagement and wedding photos. The pictures are beautiful! They portray us the way I imagined we must have looked when the day was over. Sitting in my dress at the end of the wedding we were just glowing, so happy - and in my mind I had an idea of how beautiful the day had been. But so rarely, if ever, do pictures portray things as beautifully as I remember them. In my experience pictures and videos always fall short of the memory of an important event. But not this time! Lech's pictures tell the story with real feeling of our wedding and we all look as beautiful as we all felt on that day. When I saw them, I couldn't believe it. He dealt with the difficult lighting situation in the redwood grove where had our ceremony, and jumbled chaos of the house party that was our reception. He caught a million little details, things that I didn't pay much attention to at the time, but are thrilled to be able to have in our album now. Lech has a wonderful relaxed style - at times I found myself wondering, 'why is he not giving us more direction?' - and then when the pictures came back I realized Lech was in subtle ways guiding us and at the same time just letting us be ourselves, which is why nothing looks posed. We love, love, love the pictures he took on our wedding day and are so happy we chose him to our partner in documenting such an important day. Lech did the shots for our engagement and our wedding and he did an amazing job. We were connected to him through another friend who had hired him for their wedding. We lived in a small beach community at the time of our engagement and Lech drove out to do some beautiful (and unique!) shots for us at the beach. Our wedding was up in the Sierras, and Lech is a natural for "nature" photos. He has a great eye, and also does an incredible job capturing people and moments. We were so pleased with the entire process, the communication, and the photos themselves. Lech is personable and easy to work with, at the same time very professional. In May 2013 my wife and I got married. Before we had a long long struggle to find a great photographer who does not requests half of the wedding budget. This was a struggle because I am an avid photographer myself (mainly nature) and I am notoriously picky if it comes to photography. I need to be able to talk freely with any photographer I talk to and some photographers just can not handle that. After I set up my first meeting with Lech I was immediately convinced I found the right person! Lech is an easy going pleasant personality who is accessible, extremely professional and a very nice person at the same time. A perfect combination. We discussed about how he creates his visions, how I envision our wedding photography and talked over picture examples. We had a weekend-long event near Yosemite NP. My then fiancee and I wanted pictures of us in nature between the awesome trees beside the ceremony itself. Lech spend the weekend on site and explored the grounds looking for the best photo opportunities. He found excellent locations. While taking pictures we talked about the kinds of visions we wanted to create at each location as photographer to photographer. Nothing was too hard. We added reflectors, off camera flashes, whatever was needed to create the perfect picture. We were extremely lucky with golden light, so that the pictures were already amazing in camera, without any post processing. During the ceremony I didn't notice Lech at all, except for a single occasion when we walked off the isle when I passed him. He's not in your face, but takes the right pictures at the right time! Don't think that ANY photographer can not miss ANY picture. You'll need at least 3-4 photographers to catch everything at the right time from the right place with the right focal length and settings, but Lech is amazing in catching an extremely high percentage by himself. If the shoot you are planning need more than one photographer, he will advice on doing so. I had a professional photographer who attended the wedding who was willing to back up Lech from some angles during the ceremony. Even though we didn't ask for it, Lech kept taking pictures during the whole night. Also Lech put up a photo booth for guests to take their own pictures. These pictures were hilarious. Make sure you add that to your package and bring tons of props! SO FUNNY. Naturally, we were eager to see the final results. We couldn't be happier. Fantastic photos! Lech is besides a extremely talented photographer also a very capable post-processor. The post processing (PP) of the pictures was amazing. He has great eye for what PP works best for which picture. Perfect cuts, prefect color balances, BW, old school, new age. Of course there is the occasional image you'd like to have PP differently, but he will promptly make sure you'll get what you want. Now, that would be the end of it you think? NO. Lech requested me to give him feedback on the images he took and the PP. So after I reviewed all, we arranged another meeting where we discussed many many images where I complimented him on his work and would give him feedback on style, timing and PP. He was very happy with my feedback. THAT defines a GREAT photographer. Lech is ALWAYS looking for ways to improve his work. I would hire Lech again if another occasion comes up. I HIGHLY recommend Lech for your event. read more

Lech is amazing. He shot our Inverness wedding under very difficult circumstances (pouring rain, indoors instead of the outdoors, etc.) and the photos are gorgeous. He's an incredibly talented photographer, has a great rapport with people, and was incredibly easygoing and flexible. On top of all that, he created beautiful images of our celebration. My husband and I really appreciated being able to have detailed conversations about exactly what we (we are both designers) were looking for in terms of photography (photojournalistic, candid, natural light)--and Lech delivered amazing results. My boyfriend and I are not exactly the type of people who seek out formal opportunities to be photographed. However, one's engagement seems like a pretty big deal, and Lech met us in Golden Gate Park to shoot a few casual pictures. We entered the day nervous about being photographed, but excited about the prospect of having some nice photos to share. Lech did a great job creating a low-key vibe that suited us by selecting attractive backdrops and encouraging us to enjoy them. He'd suggest that we go chill on a bridge, rock, or tree and then shoot a bunch of candid shots. It was so relaxed that we did not even feel like we were being photographed--it was just a day in the park! As we enjoyed a clear February afternoon, Lech captured dozens of great pictures, many of which are the best photos we have of ourselves and have been fun to share with friends and family. Lech is so easy to work with and an outstanding professional--he does a great job figuring out what suits you and finding the right setting, lighting, positions, and angles to make it look perfect, but furthermore he is an expert communicator and brings a calm demeanor and creative passion to his work that really distinguish him as an obvious first choice. read more

We just had a wedding reception on the beach and Lech was our photographer. I can not say enough great things about both the experience we had with Lech, his professionalism, and his photos. When we were searching for a photographer we wanted someone who was fresh, fun, and adventurous but that also was reliable and professional. Like most people we realize the importance of capturing those priceless moments on the special day. Lech completely understood what we were looking for and took it to the next level... He was amazing with all our friends and family and was able to capture the true spirit of the day. We won the silent auction for Lech's professional photography service. We are so glad we did. Lech was great to work with from the start. He was flexible in scheduling us and provided us great suggestions for the shoot location. He was patient with my two young kids ( 6 yr and 2.5 yr). My kids were totally coorperative when he was taking the photos. The end result were some amazing photos.
