I worked in a factory that manufactured computer boards and phones. I am an ideal factory worker because I love to multitask and work fast, keeps my mind occupied. As a result of my speed I was bounced from station to station and put in various solo testing stations. I was put in the first position of a phone assembly line where I worked with half a dozen friendly and wonderful people. When I had too many product on the shelves for them to catch up, I would step back to each person and help them and get to know them a little each day. I had been battling some pretty serious health issues for a few years prior to starting my job here and it only got worse as I worked here. There were times when I had to ask for help from someone on the line to help me do a particular step of my own job. They didn't hesitate to help. I had become attached to this handful of people but I also knew I wouldn't be able to physically work there much longer, as all my vacation hours and personal hours were spent in doctor and medical offices. The week I turned in my notice I called Lee Highway Floral and explained that I wanted to order a single rose to be delivered to 5 individual women, and I told them what color for each person and a single white carnation sent to a man, at their work. They repeated the order, names and location and told me there would be no problem doing it. The day came for the delivery and all the workers recieved roses, even the man. I was furious, after all, a rose isn't as manly as a carnation, in my opinion. The man was appreciative since that had never happened to him. My problem with the florist is their failure to call me back and inform me they had no white carnations. I had to call the florist and explain why I was disappointed, but naturally it fell on deaf ears. I didn't let the incident dampen the overall good feelings my coworkers and I were having that day. My husband ordered through FTD. Didn't get order correct at all. Colors of flowers, ribbon, and balloons do not go together. Spelled our last name incorrect on the envelope. It was correct on order. Also, two days late for our wedding anniversary. Mylar balloon is going flat already. Looks like a mix of an arrangement for an old lady and a kids birthday party. Worst $78 spent ever. The name of this florist reflects some local history almost forgotten. Proper Street which runs in front of the business was once old Hwy 72 that ran from Chattanooga to Memphis, Tennessee. Hwy 72 is now a busy 4 lane highway relocated several times over the years about a mile south of here. Hwy 72 was part of a National Auto Trail called the Lee Highway, named for Robert E. Lee which ran a Southern route from New York to San Francisco in the 1920's in the early days of automobiles. The "Lee Highway Blues" is a standard of southern string band music. read more

I have ordered from this company several times and usually it's fine. I had a bad experience last year when I ordered several bouquets for different people and one had to be delivered on a Friday. Well they screwed up and delivered all flowers on Saturday, which meant one recipient didn't receive hers for a week because she had been on vacation. But today I am so annoyed. I specifically ordered a gorgeous bouquet for my mother because it was supposed to come in a silver vase. Now there's a note on each picture that says flowers may be substituted but nothing about the vases. Well the flowers were delivered in a plain old glass vase... I called the company to ask just now and the owner says, "what do you want me to do about it now?" I was you to give a shit about customer service, sir. They even called me the other day to confirm another piece of the order and no one found it relevant to relevant to at least inform me that I would not be getting what I paid for. I placed an order online while I was away at the beach. The flowers were delivered perfectly and on time. The recipient was happy, and I was happy. About a week later, I began receiving very aggressive voice mails about how my card number was wrong and how I needed to call immediately to get this worked out. I am a college student and live off of a limited budget. When I checked my funds in the bank after the beach trip, I assumed that the flower charge had already been taken out. And by the time the calls started coming, I really didn't have the funds available. Once I had enough money in the bank, I planned to call. Then I received a last voicemail and the man threatened to call the recipient of the flowers!!! How embarrassing would that have been?!?! I have settled up with Lee Highway Floral, but will never use them again! Ended up the expiration date was wrong, simple mistake on my end, but they acted like I was some sort of criminal. Eddie really could have been nicer about the situation but instead handled it like a true asshole. So if you're looking for a FRIENDLY florist, keep looking! read more
