He will tell you to do anything he thinks you can do before telling you that you need surgey (P.T., medication, injections, rest, a brace,ect.) He makes sure you have the proper bloodwork up before prescribing medication and has even gone so far as to stop the appointment mid sentence to get your primary care physician on the phone if he has question about your health history. Dr Owens comes across as a knowledgeable doctor. He'll give you a good explanation of what you should or shouldn't be doing. While I've been seeing him for a year now, I have not had surgery performed by him yet. Another good point is that with everything I have going on, he hasn't pushed surgery as the first option. This time around him and his staff really messed up my medical records presenting incomplete & incorrect information to the worker Comp adjuster causing more drama, an attack on my character and denial of my claim. Which means I'm left in excruciating pain with about $2000-4000 bill if I want to get out of pain. I need to get out of pain.
