Extremely disappointing experience…read more I waited over two hours to be seen on multiple occasions despite having a scheduled appointment. What made the situation even more frustrating was being told repeatedly that I was "next" to be seen, only to watch other patients who arrived after me and had later appointment times get called back first. When I asked about it, the explanations I received from the staff were inconsistent and didn't match what I had personally observed. Rather than acknowledging the excessive wait time and poor communication, I felt like I was being given excuses. The doctor's explanation only added to my frustration and did not address the actual issue. In fact, he took an incredibly rude attitude toward me when I inquired politely about it. I understand that medical offices can run behind, but waiting over two hours more than once is unacceptable. After speaking with others in the waiting room, it was clear that I was not the only one with this experience. Patients deserve honest communication and respect for their time. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

He's got a great bedside manner and explains things to me so I really understand. He's so smart and he's very caring. And most of all, he has helped me. That, to me, means that they were never reattached. My knee makes a lot noise when I walk, and it hurts. Went back a few times, and the "doctor" said, he'd give me a new knee, but I'd have to pay for it. Is that some kind of a joke???? I do not know that the other reviews are on the same "Hartzband", but they can NOT be speaking of the one that I went to in Paramus NJ. He has NO personality, and worse yet, doesn't look at you when he speaks. He looks over you, around you, but not at you.

Dr. Hartzband is unbelievable!…read more Due to severe arthritis, my girlfriend needed a complete hip replacement. Dr. Hartzband was confident and reassuring. We arrived at the outpatient surgical facility at 6AM, the surgery started at 8 and we were home at 6PM the SAME DAY! The PT folks even had her practice going up and down stairs before we left. The incision was small and pain was minimal for that type of procedure. Recovery time is significant of course, but she is progressing nicely, thanks to Dr. Hartzband and his excellent staff. I am convinced that they are the best in their field.

He screwed up my Aunt's knee surgery and other patients. When it was time for my meniscus knee tears to be operated on I made an Appt to see for myself. Even though the nurses on my unit all warned me off the record not to go to him. His bedside manner was awful. Think he was afraid of a law suit. Rightfully so. So thankful I didn't have him operate (went outside the hospital). I'm wondering if the positive reviews are false or paid off. Seriously avoid this Dr. I don't care where he practices from now. He needs to be sued big time.
