My wife and I wound up going with the Lee Tessier Team after an extensive searching process to look for a realtor. We, at that time, were looking for our first home as a couple and were also in the process of planning a wedding. We were very fortunate to have been referred to the Lee Tessier Team and Mike Stephens. The few realtors we had met with previous were way more "uppity" than we were looking for. We are very laid back people with perhaps - at that time - very unrealistic goals for what we wanted in a house. Mike held our hand throughout the entire process, giving us very realistic ideas of what our money and budget could get us. After our initial day out of looking at homes, we never had another day of wasted home visits. Mike quickly learned what we were looking for and what were our deal breakers and the process went smooth as silk after that. We were involved in a short sale that took several months to resolve itself, and during that time Mike never put us on the back burner. Mike never took longer than a few hours to get back to us with our questions no matter how absurd. Deep down, we knew that it wasn't in our realtor's best interests to get involved in a lengthy short sale, but Mike always put our hopes and dreams in the forefront of our working relationship. Mike often would check in on us when things were going quietly just to give us updates and never sugar coated things that other realtors might have tried to avoid until it was absolutely necessary to bring up. Eventually the short sale process fell through and we immediately were shown other homes that, again, were right in line with our wish list. I can't tell you how calming it was to have gone from a 7 month short sale and right back into looking at homes, and that was all because of Mike. It felt like we weren't back at square one, but at option 1b. We also ran into a few hiccups with title companies and mortgage companies and Mike had immediate recommendations that wound up being truly our best options (believe me when I say I did my due diligence when it comes to selecting companies to represent us). After we had finally settled on a home, the Lee Tessier Team was there for us after we had signed papers, offering us their moving truck to use at no charge, had empty boxes delivered to our house for the move and also gave us free catering for our house warming party! Their realtor fees did not seem any higher or lower than other companies we had looked at, but it honestly wouldn't have mattered. Mike was always very up front with any fees from the very beginning and prepared us for every outside fee we could expect to pay. Settlement was a breeze because we had already been briefed over everything that was going to happen. I can't tell you how at ease at least I was during this whole process because of how prepared we always were. I bought a home in March of 2016. My realtor, Shannon Reimuller, was wonderful! Both Shannon and the Lee Tessier team's knowledge and professionalism are exceptional. They definitely go above and beyond. For an example, the home we bought was a short sale and sold "as is". The selling agent offered to pay for a leak that we had in the bathroom. Later on in the process I found out that the selling agent had in fact not fixed the problem. When I asked my agent about it I was told not to worry about it. Lee Tessier had it taken care of. Mr. Tessier went out of his way to hire someone to fix the problem and didn't even tell me. This is going above and beyond to do right by your customer. That's just one example I can give you of the integrity and exceptional job they do for their clients. The Lee Tessier team made searching for our home a wonderful experience.Pat walked us through everything and was always available to answer the many questions we had. She was able to narrow down houses for us based on our requirements and we only needed to see eigth houses to find the one we loved. Lee Tessier was a tremendous help in selling our home. We contacted him about a year before we were actually ready to sell. He inspired us with such confidence that we didn't consider any other realtors. There was no pressure to move forward until we were ready. Lee does an excellent job of distinguishing himself from a slew of competition in the Harford County area, which is why we've used him twice: One to find a rental house and once to buy two years later. His secret isn't really a secret at all: He makes his business about the people. Many salespeople will pay lip service to their customers, but Lee let his actions speak for themselves. He never pressured my wife and I at any time, let us move at our own pace, and when we were ready to make the move, he treated us like royalty, sending us free boxes for the move (much needed!).
