We didn't get there super early around 11am so the parking was already crowded. No matter we were determined to make it work. We found a handicap parking area and since we have a placard we got a spot close to the vendors. Now I have been to flea markets before and tons of street fairs and this to me was one big street fair with some antique sellers in one area. Several vendors with their small businesses ideas like various foods were present as were inexpensive jewelry, clothing sellers throughout. After 2 hours of walking around seeing lines at every food stall/truck we had enough. So we head back to the car and you figure, ok people leaving We should be out within minutes. We were so wrong. It took more than 45 minutes to leave the location. No joke if there was a medical emergency not sure how they would get to you. It took longer to leave than to drive home. All I can say is we came, we saw and conquered the Flea Market. Once is enough.

This flea market has furniture, books, tons and tons of dishes, cups, plates, toys, games, tools, sporting equipment etc When we finally re-do our kitchen we plan on shopping there and have all our kitchenware be antiques. It's set up so a large number of different vendors rent space and set up their area themselves and set their own prices. The system means that you can find a huge variety of stuff... it's the sort of place I love browsing through most. It's also a large space, with multiple rooms. I ended up dropping $100 that I hadn't meant to spend - but I also feel that it was half the price I'd have paid elsewhere for a similar item, so I'm quite delighted. (Note, however, that they don't take AmEx, and they're apparently not willing to cut you a break on the prices (or even the tax) if you pay cash. There's a similar place just two doors down called the Millbrook Antiques Mall. I didn't have time to browse there... but if you're not on a schedule, you definitely want to check out both!

Can a thrift shop be quiet but bustling? That's how I would describe this store. It's off the…read morebeaten main street of Kent, next to a church. It promises it donates profits from the store to charity, and is in a converted house. It does have a parking lot separate from the church, and has a ramp entrance as well as stairs. Inside there are about four rooms of shopping, mostly clothes. So many clothes. Women's, children's, probably men's in the room I skipped. There's also stuff interspersed - toys with kids, jewelry decorating the fireplace in the women's clothing room, and a room in back with nice glassware. On the glass - someone is doing their research. They're not priced unfairly ($6 for a vintage character glass), but they are priced what someone may charge trying to resell it, so it may feel steeper than what you normally see at a thrift shop. But it is for charity, and when a sale tag had been inadvertently stuck to an item I was interested in, they did work with me. Definitely interesting selections!
