One morning, I was feeling particularly down and needed a fix. I trotted over to the bodega to get my fix and the son's owner chatted me up. He was really nice and even offered me a nice hot cup of coffee, on the house. I was speechless. He didn't know it, but he brightened my day. Sometimes it is the small things in life that matter. And even though there is another bodega (more up-scale) next door, J and J now has my loyalty. Thanks for making my day. That personal touch is priceless.

I've been here a number of times because I'll be in the neighborhood. This is definitely one of my favorite bodegas around. My favorite part being how personable and friendly the family who runs it.
