The staff are extremely helpful, and took the time to explain the differences between the consoles to a gaming newbie like me. They offer the best range of educational books in Barrow, so a must for any further education students. The shop is split over two sites, with the toys for pre school children being housed around the corner from the original shop on Harrison Street.

However its one of the few remaining places where you can buy material if you fancy running yourself up some curtains and it does fill a niche. Just not a very fancy one. Occasionally it will host a foreign food market and that is worth a look as this brings in a range of stalls selling your normal farmers market type produce.

It is a very community shop where people stop for a chat about what's happening the town, i.e. gossip. The range of cards seem to be less expensive than elsewhere, but everything else is governed by it's recommended retail price.
