Our level one class with Robert was so much fun and, in a city with a LOT of things to do, this was a great escape from the busy strip. Working with Tom, Robert, and Greg was a blast! We made little wine cork toppers and ornaments. They also have a store with handmade glass items that are very reasonably priced. If you take a class, you can purchase your next class at a discount if you buy it at the end of your class. I cannot wait for my second class. Had my first of (at least) three lessons at the studio today! LOVED it. Tom was super-kind and took us through a brief history of the studio. Robert, a 40-year artisan of glass work, showed us how to make our wine stoppers and pendants. I can't wait to get back here to make our icicles and marbles. The glass animals aren't that far behind. It had just enough danger to make it thrilling, more than enough supervision to keep me feeling extremely comfortable throughout. They have beautiful works available for purchase in their showroom and some amazing graphic tees to make sure others note your swagger when you go out wearing them. Honestly, THE NICEST INSTRUCTORS EVER! Robert and Greg are just awesome! So I've been wanting to try to do glass blowing for so long but have felt so intimidated by the thought of it and the price. I saw that they had a groupon deal and thought "why not?!" and just did it and boy am I glad I did! So upon arriving to the studio, I didn't know what to expect. Were they going to be rude because my friend and I didn't know what we were doing or were they going to laugh at us because we are probably going to make mistakes? I don't know. But we were completely wrong. They are THE nicest instructors and walked us through the process and helped us along the way! Upon showing up, the glass blowing studio is in a big garage style place and it makes sense because you'll be using hot fire. The studio is nice and clean and they have a small show room of some of the glass items they've made as well. The owner Robert showed us the first two pieces we were going to make- a leaf cork topper and a leaf ornament/ car charm/ or pendent. So the concept of making these items first is to kind of dip your feet into glass blowing and we were told that the next classes, we'd be making other stuff like icicles and slowly advance from there. My friend and I had a blast doing it and for sure we are going to come back. I've already shown so many of my friends the items we've made and even referred my cousins to the studio when they're in town. I'm beyond happy with my glass blowing experience and I will be coming back again for more! All of us had a lot of laughs creating the leaves and was such a wonderful experience. If anyone is ever nervous about trying this out, please do it! Don't hesitate and just do it, I promise you, you won't be disappointed with it! read more

The instructor, Greg was awesome! I am surprise there is only one review here. I was looking for something fun to do in Vegas and came across this place on Groupon. I end up going without buying the Groupon. They match the deal. After arriving, I decided to do two lessons back to back. Why? Reason #1 I was traveling from Henderson, NV to North Las Vegas. It's quite far so wanted to make it more worth the trip. Reason #2 The lesson was only appropriately one hour and I wanted to stay around longer to learn more. It was definitely worth the trip! Greg is a very good instructor and goes through every step very thoroughly before he set you in front of the flame to work. He didn't have another student till 4pm so we had plenty of time. He didn't mind letting me take my time to make the pieces. The first lesson was to make a leaf for a cork/bottle top. Then we repeat it but make it into a pendant. This part of the class went by very quickly. The second lesson was to make icicles and that took the rest my time there. I was there for literally half a day. I wasn't very good at it but he really encourage you and we experimented with the material. It was a lot of fun! I plan to return next year! read more

My review is incredibly late. We did this in February(2020). I procrastinated so long because it was hard to put into words what an amazing time we had. Le Francis studios is absolutely incredible. I originally came across Glass Blowing after I watched the Netflix show "Blown Away". I was amazed by these people that put so much work into Glass that I once would look at and not appreciate its beauty. I never knew just how much work and skill it takes to make glass. When we planned our Anniversary celebration trip to Vegas, I decided to look up "Glass Blowing Clsses" and sure enough, a Groupon for Le Francis Studios popped up. I was immediately drawn in to this specific company. On Groupon Greg is offering an amazing deal. I was ready for it since the moment I booked it, but fiance was a little hesistant. He didn't watch the show Blown Away with me, so I'm sure he thought this would be a weird activity. Upon arrival we were very nervous. We were greeted by an older man that was sooooooo SWEET. He was incredibly kind and welcoming. He greeted us, helped with check-in, gave us a tour and showed us masterpieces previous students had made before handing us over to Greg. We were extremely nervous because it was just us in the tour, however they both made us feel completely safe and welcomed. Their energy and passion got us pumped up. The classs officially began and Greg was so patient and easy going. We made our pieces of Glass and loved the outcome. Fiance and I walked out of there with smiles on our face from ear to ear and he told me that this was probably one of the coolest activities he's ever done in his life. I said the same! I would recommend anyone give this a shot. There are more worthwhile things to do in Vegas than getting wasted and losing your money at the casino, try this out next time! I try to learn something new whenever I travel and this week in Vegas was no different. Imagine the perfect glass bead, or sun catcher, or Christmas tree ornament; you can make it yourself. The owner and our instructor Greg welcomed us into his bright and clean studio, a perfect host to quell any nervousness you may have at the prospect of "hot glass". With Greg's expert tutorial it is not only safe but actually relaxing, enabling you to create in this fascinating media. There was plenty of time to explore colors and textures, reflections and movement of the sun catchers and "glass drops" we made. The choice of materials made all the difference, borosilicate glass rods are cool to the touch and easy to work in the fixed torch flame using "lamp work" techniques. I took one of the more in depth classes that Le Francis offers. It was a two day class with guest Instructor Eli Mazet. The class was super fun and informative! Between Greg (the owner), Robert (a gem of a man from Australia), and Eli there was plenty of experienced instructors. In the class there were people with all different skill levels. The team at Le Francis was able to tailor the learning so that everyone got a lot out of the class. I definitely improved my skills, and everyone ended up making stuff to take home. The studio is very well appointed with quality torches, and just about any hand tool you could need. The vibe at Le Francis is very accessible and welcoming. Greg's family was there helping with the class and it was super nice meeting everyone. I highly recommend Le Francis Studios for a fun beginner lamp working lesson, or even more advanced instruction, and I hope to make it back for another class!
