Allow me to say that hearing this convinced me of the quality and effort Dennis Bonilla and his Left Coast painters would be putting into restoring and painting our Santa Rosa home. This, indeed, was borne out by the excellent job done on our home. Consider: Prep work: Replacing failing siding and dry rot were not something we had really thought about when looking for a company to paint our house. We solicited five bids for the job and found that some companies do not offer repair; we would have to find someone else to do this job before painting could begin. Choosing colors: Dennis was very accommodating and pleasant as we struggled with this. We felt no pressure to make up our minds. Three times he applied multiple sample paints to the house before we came to a decision. Speed: Dennis scheduled our job for a month in advance, which was quick considering what time frames others gave us. Once the job began, there was no dilly-dallying, excuses or no-shows; they were very punctual. It was also going to be performed after Thanksgiving, and we were lucky with the weather--or was it that he had SIX workers on our job? Suffice it to say, the day after it was finished, it poured rain! Their presence: The workers were very tidy, cleaning up and stacking their supplies at the end of each day. They were careful with the plants surrounding the house. And no arguing or music blaring! I liked these men; they were pleasant and open to discussing how the job was going. By the end of the week, I was kind of sorry to see them go! Cost: The bill ultimately came to only $800 over the estimate, which surprised us. Because of one particularly bad spot of dry rot (there's that "poor workmanship" referred to), they had had to brace the ceiling inside the kitchen as a precaution. We had expected some major boost in price, but no. In summary, I would highly recommend Left Coast Painting. They were skilled, tidy, prompt and pleasant. Use them if you are looking for professionals to paint your house; you won't regret it! read more

Dennis, Nick, and the entire team did an outstanding job painting our house. They had to squeeze it in between rain storms and work in cold conditions as each of the three days they worked was foggy and cold. They had to wait for the temp to rise each day to actually paint. They replaced some dry rotted wood sidings, repaired a hole on one of the walls, and added some extra areas to paint at no additional cost. The crew worked so well together and all had a very positive attitude. They also replaced moved items exactly where they were before when they finished. And the quality of their work was outstanding. It really reminded me that painting is a skill and a craft, and I am barely an amateur when it comes to painting compared to them. Very thankful for the job they did for us. read more

If you learn anything from this review, hire these guys! Our exterior paint was in rough shape, we had it painted 5 years ago by a friends company and it was a poor job. I found Dennis on yelp, he quickly came out and provided a quote, the quote was very reasonable and in line with all the other quotes. Dennis was extremely easy to work with and his guys were great! Dennis had great constant communication for the full ~week the guys were painting. All the guys were friendly, and went above and beyond, cleaned up thoroughly every night, extremely polite and very detailed oriented when it came to the paint. Our peeling was horrible with decades of bad paint jobs and the guys went above and beyond to make it look as good as possible, it literally looks like a brand new house. I never could have imagined it could look this good. We are over the moon with the job they did and would hire them again in a heart beat. read more

I don't often post on Yelp, but am compelled to do so because I was so impressed by Dennis and his team. We initially picked them because their quote was the best of several we'd received. From the start, everybody involved in the operation was professional, and displayed genuine interest in helping us get the paint job/color combination that we wanted. We went back and forth on our color scheme for a few days, and the whole crew was very helpful and patient in assisting us to get it just right. I really appreciated the communication every step of the way.
