After our roof was replaced, the next step was to paint the exterior of our house. With so many painting companies in Sonoma County, it took a while to narrow them down by cross-checking reviews and background research. After quotes from 3 firms, we chose Diamond Painting to do the work. Considering the scope and quality of the final product, the total cost was very reasonable. The owner, Michael, was clearly very experienced, and he spent time listening to our goals and helping with choices. This was especially true with the colors for the walls, trim (gutters, fascia, eaves, etc.), and doors. Michael made it very easy for us to use quart-sized paint samples to test colors on a back wall. He is an excellent "Color Counselor", and his guidance resulted in a beautiful harmony of roof, walls, trim, doors, within the surrounding vegetation. The actual project was very well run, from the initial site preparation, pressure washing, stucco repair, window and fixture masking, actual painting (two coats), touch-up, and site clean-up. We were lucky to have two of Diamond's ace painters - Tim and Eric - who produced an amazing result and were very detail-oriented. These guys were really great to have on-site for several days; they were friendly, considerate, and skilled, and I learned a lot from them. Another point is the quality of the actual paint used on our house. Diamond Painting recommended Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint, which ranks very high in the list of available exterior paints. We are glad to have our house protected with this durable and mildew-resistant paint that won't fade for several years. The summary is, hire Diamond! We did and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Diamond repainted the exterior of our ~3000 sq ft. hillside house. Michael and his crew are the complete package, both in terms of customer experience and execution (getting it done and doing a good job). We hired them at the recommendation of our neighbor who had a good experience with Diamond repainting the exterior of their house. Michael gave us a reasonable quote, in a timely manner. He turned up when he promised and communicated well. He was also happy to work with us to make the entire job a success; we asked for extra scaffolding and 2-3 weeks lead time with the scaffolding to allow our contractor to use it to replace 1/3 of our siding. He was very reasonable about the cost of extra work - we even paid him a little bit more than he asked because it felt right. I think a reasonable contractor is important because once you start the work and you're locked into the contractor you want to know that changes will be easy. Michael's crew were respectful, responsive and a pleasure to have around too. They worked carefully. Last, but not least, we're really happy with the quality of the work. I received 3 or 4 quotes to paint the interior of my 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit as well as remove the popcorn ceiling and texture the ceiling before paiinting. Michael was awesome and very professional from the start. His price was good, he communicated extremely well before the job, during the job and after the job. The job ended up being a little more involved than he originally thought. Never did he attempt to change the price. The unit looks awesome. Diamond Painting was hired to paint a preschool interior consisting of multiple classrooms, large children's bathroom, offices and a kitchen.
