I really enjoyed this store! When we walked in we were greeted in a friendly manner and asked if we needed any help. We spent a lot of time looking in the various rooms. I was impressed with the variety! They have beach vibe material, Asian art, old farm, glass, and local art. Everything seemed fairly priced. I really liked the jewelry cases in the front. They have a unique stones and jewelry that were priced a little high, but they were NEAT! Overall I would recommend this store if you are looking for something funky for your home. read more

This place is amazing! I was very impressed with the sheer variety of pretty much everything (furniture, knick knacks, tools, vintage items, jewelry, and other antiques) sold at the store. I easily spent several hours just looking through all the items and even snagged two vintage cups ($10 each) made in England that were on retail for double the price online. If you are looking to find a treasure and to kill time while in Myrtle Beach area, this is your place to go to. read more

Bunch of idiots around here. Listen, people, I've been in this kind of business for years now. Your items aren't cool, they're crap, they're not worth as much as you think, get over it. Now, on to our assessment. We've been going to antique stores for decades now, and it's clear to me the negative reviews here have probably never been to a single antique store other than this one, which is a shame. The size is incredibly large for what looks like a smaller store, with one floor stretching over several rooms. Their selection is surprisingly diverse with lots of cool items sectioned off in generally well-arranged units via era with things for kids (like the cool bird whistles at the front) even. So size, perfect, it won't take too long, and it's something to do at the beach for a little while, especially if it's raining. Selection, awesome. But, big thing, what about prices? People usually scoff at antique store prices because, generally, they're ridiculous. Legacy is THE most reasonably-priced antique store my wife and I have ever been to in our entire life. I was literally shocked at how reasonably things were priced, it's clear they're interested in moving items and making decent profit, not stocking a museum and making you cry. A Danish modern nightstand set for $175? Sold. Portraits from the 1800s made by oils for $600, WOW. Whoever is pricing here really knows their stuff, and the shopkeeper was actually an awesome guy. If anything, he was probably annoyed by idiots who think they know what they're talking about. I could go on about the cool items they have here, but you've got everything from modern to old Southern Black Americana, silver, everything. Great design inside, wonderful store. Cannot recommend this place. Communicated with Legacy via emails about items I wanted to sell (antique chairs.) Included pictures in my emails, and was sent an email back from Legacy that they would accept the antique chairs on consignment and to come by and sign a contract for them. After packing up the chairs and making the 45 minute drive, I was informed by the man there that they wouldn't take the items. Doesn't seem like the left hand knows what the right hand is doing. Needless to say, I will not do business with Legacy Antique Mall, the communication is poor. read more

Great find. We have been to about a dozen consignment/antique shops in the Myrtle/Murrells area in the past 4 months and found this to be one of the better ones for selection and reasonable prices. Like any shop it is hit or miss and frequent returns have been very beneficial. The owners are focused on their store, yet we found them to be friendly and a wealth of knowledge. This Place is HUGE and full of antique- chandeliers, french provincial furniture, lovely decorations all over the store. The owner makes good use of space... A walk through of the entire store will probably take close to an hour. (No worries, its full of goodys - you'll be inpressed!) read more

These people are rude and think they know everything. I wanted to give them some items to sell on consignment, (50% comission!), but I got a bad feeling so I only gave them one item to sell. I knew the value but they insisted the value was far lower, (wrong!). They sold it in 2 days so obviously it was underpriced. When I went back to collect my paultry sum they said, "we dont pay under $50.00 so you need to give us some more items to sell before we can pay you!!! Can you believe it! I almost call the police on these deadbeats. I put up a solid defense but the bottom line is they made me wait another MONTH before they finally paid me. I would not recommend this store to anybody. I am so grateful places like this exist. Jeff is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Last year when I had to help my family downsize it was nice to have Legacy sell some of their excess furniture and fixtures. I liked knowing these items would continue to make someone happy. Even with the 50% commission, I got more money for these things than I could have by myself using Craigslist. Lots less hassle. Great place, lots of variety. read more

I LOVE the Legacy Antique Mall! I am local and yes if you take your purse in you have to put it in a locker. I completely understand why, it is a HUGE building with a lot of small stuff that could be easily stolen, it is in the Myrtle Beach area, the thieving capital of SC! I leave my purse locked in my car and if I buy something I run back out there and get it, NO big deal! The staff which is typically the same lady and same man that has been there since I have been going will leave you alone and let you shop, if you have questions they will happily help you from prices to explaining the age/period of the piece in question. No they don't roll out the red carpet and follow you around when shopping, however their knowledge is VAST and allow you to explore on your own, quick to come to your aid if needed! If you love cool and unique pieces then this is the place for you! They have something for everyone! read more

My family went to the Legacy Antique Mall today. Don't waste your time. The gentleman behind the counter was rude. He was condescending to an 86 year old woman interested in purchasing a plate. When she asked if he would take anything off the purchase price, he responded in a condescending manner and then had the audacity to turn his back on her. Apparently, he never heard that you catch more flies with honey then you do with vinegar. Take my advice and go somewhere else like Waccamaw where the people are friendly. read more
