I've been visiting this store for the past 5 years when I come to the beach. I would agree with other reviewers about NOT showing up close to closing time. They will turn off the lights and want you OUT! Their prices are a bit high but I have caught sales around major holiday weekends and gotten some deals. It's worth a look if you are nearby and love thrifting. They do have a room full of plus sized clothes which is great! Just don't catch them at closing time. read more

I always enjoy shopping at the store when we are in the area. But the last three times we shopped there, we were made to feel so rushed. And the two females working the store are exceptionally rude and generally unhappy. Felt as though we were putting them out. I don't think we'll be coming back. read more

My mother in law lives in Pawleys island. We have been here many times. The workers have never been friendly or welcoming. But today one of them took it to a whole other level! She was so rude!! My son had a bloody nose and my daughter had asked if he could use their sink. I came up and asked as well, not knowing that my daughter had already asked. The woman loudly snapped at me that she was getting a key! Completely rude and loud. I just raised my hands like don't shoot. Then she proceeded to assume that my 16 year old son was a moron and told him not to flush any paper towels. I will NEVER go back! I was about to buy a handful of items, but put them back. There are a lot of very nice places to shop in Pawleys Island, there is absolutely no reason to support bad ones like "Good Times" consignment. Apparently, they don't need or want any business because customer service is not in their vocabulary! read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I went by the store a few weeks ago on a Friday and found a cute table that needed some work, but I was willing to put in the time to do so. I asked one of the associates if there was any chance they would go lower on the price and she stated the owner was not there and I would need to call on the following Monday. The next week I tried multiple times on multiple days calling and no one answered. Then this past Monday, I was finally able to have my called answered and I spoke to a woman named Hope that stated she was the owner and was wiling to go down on the price, I told her I would take it and that I was on my way to pick it up. I arrived to the store about 25 minutes after that phone call and when I got there, Hope had stated that it had been sold. WHAT??? She stated that someone came in and bought the piece as well as a few other pieces. She was absolutely so RUDE! She said "things go fast here". Mind you, this piece had sat for 2+ weeks at this point. So either she got the idea she was going to fix it up and sell it for more (which the associate I spoke to originally said Hope might want to do. Or it truly was sold in the 25 minutes it took me to drive there. Either way, this was shady and I WILL not be returning. I am a local and try my best to support my local shops but this was ridiculous, and any of my friends and coworkers agree. DO BETTER! read more

I have been shopping at and consigning at Good Times since they opened their doors. I absolutely love going there to shop as well as taking articles to sell. Everyone is so friendly and kind and the owner is super. You can get some really good buys and you never know what you will find. Prices are good and home decor, furniture and seasonal items are some of my favorites. Shop Good Times before you shop retail. read more

I always visit this store when I'm in the area. Occasionally there are drastic markdowns, like last week all purple tags were reduced to $1.00. Found some amazing deals. Do not visit around closing time. All around a great store to find clothing, household items, good kids department, and southern decor. read more

Once was a frequent shopper but not now. I consigned 4 pieces of furniture in May, which were antiques that were in excellent shape. In August I made my 3rd call to the store where I discovered that from my earnings of $6 in July till August 8 I had earned less than $100. As everyone knows the furniture is sold at high end prices and yes the pieces are high end, so I expected to receive considerably more than that. The pieces that I left there were a solid bentwood style rocker, Italian gold Florentine magazine rack, large formal gold ornate frame mirror,, and a scallop edge mahogany drop top tea table. The catch is when I had called previously no one said anything about discounting, pick up or broken. I forgot about the pieces until August 8. I called to find out the mahogany table had been forfeited to the store because I had not picked them up. I later contacted the owner who investigated and contacted me to say the table was broken, and they had discounted the other items. I can do nothing about this now but please beware when consigning with this store. I know the table was not broken but in excellent shape when it left my hands. I never received any communication from this store nor did anyone inspect the pieces when they came in. I got a ticket with a number on it and that was all. Please remember this when consigning. Pay close attention to what you sign and ask lots of what if questions or you too could become a victim of theif. read more
