The pigment would come out during the flaking phase. Each time I went back for a touch-up, she'd have to start all over and re-map my brows because there was nothing but a hint of color left. That's 6 weeks of the healing process times 3 sessions. I babied my brows for a total of 18 weeks!!! During this healing process, I had a lot of time to spend studying this process, numerous videos from PMU teaching facilitates, the do's and the don't, the amount of pressure to use holding the blade, the correct angle, how to do hold a 3 point hold to open the "well" aka micro bladed skin to deposit the pigment. I did so much studying, I could have easily became a PMU artist myself if I were interested in enrolling in a class. I followed the after care with due diligence. I had spent $900.00 investing in my brows at this "other" place. Only to be disappointed each and every time! Oh, don't get me started on the blame shifting, it's always the customers fault. BTW I have 3 friends that used that same artist, got the same horrible results I did and have all gone elsewhere now. Now, for the reason I'm writing this review. My neighbor has very light blonde hair with a fair complexion. Her brows were transparent, (much like mine) she had her brows beautifully perfected by Kimber, My neighbor's brows are 2 years old and looking as fresh as the day she got them done. I thought about reaching out to Kimber, but had such bad experiences, I was very apprehensive. I finally made contact with Kimber, sent her photos of my brows. She agreed to see me. I made the appointment January 2023, she mapped them to perfection and began the process of creating beautiful brows. She even said she was sorry I'd gone through so much work to have been left like I was. But did not comment negatively on the other place. A testament of a true professional Kimber is. I had very little flaking, the color and shape held perfectly during the 6 week healing process. I lost nothing! I just had my re-touch done yesterday, no re-mapping was needed because my brows were still there, right where she put them! Kimber's personality is very chill, she has a relaxing vibe. Easy to talk to, explains the process as she creates a perfect set of brows. And she doesn't rush, she doesn't make you feel like you can't have any input. Kimber, you have a client for life. She also does small tattoos. My experience with Marisol's expertise was a Brow-Lite procedure. I'm a senior, never had any tattoos, so this was a big deal for me. Marisol explained everything to me prior to the procedure and was very comforting with my concerns. I have eyebrows, but hair so fair they weren't visible. Wearing corrective lenses didn't help much with "drawing" them on my self and then always having the concern I'd rub them off. Well, no more! She did a great job and made me feel comfortable. Numbing the area with a topical Lidocaine cream made the process painless! Had a couple issues with dry patches where the ink didn't want to take, but she explained this to me and made suggestions to try to resolve these areas for the future. She provided detailed instructions for aftercare and welcomed all questions. She listened to my concerns regarding color and shape. Healing was exactly as she described and her color choice was spot on for my complexion. I will see her again and have already recommended her to a couple people. I highly recommend her! I followed their shop for the…read morepast few years but was convinced by a family member to try a cheaper artist... and I'll just say when it comes to any beauty related procedure, quality over quantity (cost of service) is everything. Besides microblading, their services also include lipliner and lip tattoos! I submitted an inquiry for a brow correction and received a response within a day. I sent over photos of my current brows (some microblading artists are selective when it comes to corrections/fixing other artists' work) and thankfully, Emily Joy agreed to fix them for me! I put down a 50% deposit and booked an appointment (bookings are only guaranteed with a deposit!). The remaining balance is also charged on the day of the appointment. Medical history is requested along and pre and post-care instructions are provided during booking. They are also sent during the appointment confirmation (about 2-3 days before your appointment) and are also available on their website. Emily Joy had wonderful bedside manner and had a warm, genuine personality and I felt comfortable with her right away! The process of measuring and drawing out my brows took longer in addition to waiting for the topical anesthetic took longer than the actual microblading itself. It's pretty painless for the most part, but once the anesthesia starts to wear off, it feels more like a scratch, if anything at all. She provided a cute post-care tote with Aquaphor, a card with directions on how to take care of your brows, as well as swabs to apply the Aquaphor. I was able to book my touch-up right after we finished our initial session. The studio itself is clean and has the cutest, posh decor. It's shared in an office building with several other businesses and has ample parking. I've constantly received compliments on my brows and every morning, I look at myself in the mirror and think to myself, "I WOKE UP LIKE DIS!"
