Compared to some of my previous lifeguard certification classes, Adam went above and beyond. Adam was interactive with us and had no problem jumping in the cold water to show us the proper technique or be a victim so we could practice and grasp the concept completely. When it came time for the CPR, First Aid & AED portion of the weekend we practiced multiple different scenarios and did many round so that there was no doubt we knew our stuff. If we had any kind of question, he'd have a story to help us remember, talk it out with us or demonstrate on the mannequins. I recommend Adam and Saftey Penn Training to anyone that needs any kind of Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR or AED Training. He knows his stuff and will make sure you do too!

The 2nd hour, we practiced with 4 types of handguns in the shooting range. Also learned a bit about the legalities and GA laws about firearms. Previous: The Women's Handgun 101 class was good & very helpful. I feel better prepared & will practice the firearm basics I learned. I plan to sign up for the 102 class when one is available in my area.

The class was from 8-10AM and by the time everyone was settled and ready for the course, it started about 5 minutes later. We went over the basics of pistols, the laws surrounding it, and how to get our gun permit in the state of GA. We also all learned how to load a magazine with bullets. Then we all got to shoot two magazines with 9mm handguns. Very informative. Though I was tired, I got some pretty good shots and left the class more educated about the gun laws in my state than I did when I got there.

In the adult "support group" you won't be given the chance to express your needs: you'll hear a lecture from someone who wants to sell you something. For instance in early 2026, a lecture about "self-advocacy" that turned into the importance of employment agencies. The lecturer works... for an employment agency. (He also claimed an autism diagnosis from a place that only diagnoses children and teens - holy vetting fail, Batman!) The teen & adult support meetings are no better: they'll stuff your kids full of junk food, talk five minutes about bank accounts, then open the floor to talk about Sonic the hedgehog. What's the point? They have an ABA therapy center that teaches kids to be seen and not heard. Then they're shocked, SHOCKED, I say! when the kids struggle in employment and dating. Just check their daily schedule: the multimillion dollar building is empty almost all day, everyday. They have good intentions, maybe, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions (and they don't respond to criticism: hence this review). Better to burn your money than give it to this place. Better to stare at a wall than waste time with them.

My son was a member of the club a few years back and now my daughter has spent the last year as a member. Both LOVED the program! WhizLearning made learning fun for them. They both looked forward to classes and always had great things to say about their instructors. As a busy parent, I was happy the program was either before or after school making it easier to drop off/pick up my kids.
