I was able to get an appointment the next day with Dr. Kopolovich. The office staff treated me with respect when I arrived and the wait time was minimal. Dr. Kopolovich was so patient, kind, and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and explained the plan of treatment thoroughly. The same has been true of all my visits since then. Recently, though, Dr. Steven Kann was to perform surgery on my wrist sheath, index trigger finger and removal of a foreign body on my index joint. He chose without my knowledge to not perform the surgery on my trigger finger. After discussion with him, that surgery is now scheduled in the next few weeks with his promise that I would not pay any out of pocket since he failed to perform the surgery the first time. He made other promises that thus far he has not met. He may be a good surgeon but is not trustworthy to follow through on his commitments. I pray to provide a more positive update following my surgery on June 15.

Because I went to an orthopedic urgent care, the costumer service reps made a very big deal about my continuing care at this location. They threatened to cancel my appointment without rescheduling and continously stressed that it's a 2nd opinion appointment, since I'm "already under the care" of the orthopedic urgent care. The reps here are extremely rude, condescending and don't listen or understand when you speak to them. They will then try to spin things around, act sweet, nice and helpful (while subtly trying to make others look like the bad guy), after I told them that myself and the family have been patients there for MANY years. I definately do not recommend getting involved with this business.

I had a third surgery to 'clean' the apparatus. We opted not to remove the 'stem' part. I am now taking 3000mg of Keflex a day. I may have to do this the rest of my life or have the entire implant removed which is a big risk (read about it). I don't know where the fault lies for my unfortunate result, but there should be more diligence taken to prevent this.

They quickly and efficiently determined a plan to get me back to my normal self. They were able to individually work on both my knee and my elbow but in a timely manner within my allotted one hour sessions. Everyone that I worked with was very nice and professional. The other 3 hours were spent waiting in a small exam room. I was running back and forth to the bathroom. They didn't hook me up to an I.V. Of saline solution for about 2 hour. The said I was lucky to get that because there was a shortage. I realize that there might have been sicker people than myself, but the experience was unacceptable. Over the years I have used UPMC Passavant ER a few times and the experience is always the same. From here on out I will use AHN Wexford & I suggest that you do too.

Directions via the My UPMC portal were easy to follow & specific. Staff was friendly & caring. Staff for my procedure went out of way to be kind & helpful. Facility is clean. Waiting area has good system with large screen so you know what step your family member is on during procedures. You have a pager that alerts you when the procedure is complete. As of December 20, 2023 UPMC is back to a mask mandate inside the hospital for winter Covid, flu & RSV season. Our procedures ran on time. This is provided you arrive an hour before your procedure time.
