I read many horrible reviews online and was absolutely dreading going to this Clinic but it is…read morereally the only pain clinic in my area left to try. I can only speak their West Mifflin office. I've been there 8 times over 8 months now and I have to say I have never had such a positive experience with a pain clinic. YES they will drug test you at least the first time. And about every 3 months after that. This is common sense. They will also give you a sheet and a chance to list any drug you've taken that you might test positive for, don't lie. Yes, they count your pills at EVERY visit. No they are not okay with you using marijuana. Many pain medications can suppress breathing and marijuana can make that worse. The first doctor I saw made it very clear that he had no problem with marijuana but he did have a problem with mixing it with opiates. Plus it's still mostly illegal here, again use your head. No you will not always see the Dr. but if you really want to, ask to. The first time I went I saw Dr. Mitros, the second time, Dr. Matt Lodico,(I really liked them both) the third time I saw the PA as usual and she asked if I wanted to wait the extra 15 minutes to see the doctor and since nothing was changing I declined. For six months I dealt with the PA Emily she was fantastic but unfortunately she switched to a different office. She referred me to the PA Bree who has also been great. She listens and is honest if she does not know an answer to my question. Another aspect of this office that I like is that the rooms don't have computers, so they actually make eye contact with me and speak to me, that was refreshing. Like any other pain clinic I'm sure that they would like to push procedures. I cannot speak to that because I had been to pain clinics in the past and I've had all the procedures that can help my condition. I am in my early 30s and the other clinics I've been to have had very negative attitudes toward helping me because I'm young. This is the first place that seems to understand your age does not always determine your need for care. It's worth noting, for people unfamiliar with pain clinics, (I've noticed this complaint in other reviews) it's really not their job to diagnose you in any capacity. It is their job to receive the paperwork from your doctor/surgeon and create a care plan for the diagnosis and pain your doctor has told him that you have. Should any of this change I will promptly come back here and amend this review.

Instead they offere me a third party medication thats totally different than what i was being prescribed prior to choosing ADVANCED PAIN N CORAOPOLIS - the medication qas not covered by any Medicaid insurance providers because its a 3rd party medication. Ive been 9 days waiting on Adv Pain to return a call to me so that I can recoeve a new script of pain meds (prefferably the regimem I have been prescribed for 2 yeaars since i became disabled. They have no Corporate office to complain to becase the nurse Nadine or Natalie told me they are a private practice. I would suggest that before signing up with Advanced Pain Managemnt I would ask will they prescribe your notmal regimen so that u wont b waiting 9 days to get a proper script sent in. My name is Patrick Williams Pw11031967@gmail.com. Please feel free to email me if you are planning on signing up with Advanced Pain Manaagement. That practice and staff and thieir policy (overall) is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. THANKS

I'm not sure if my experience is strictly based on covid or not because I'm a fairly new patient to…read morethis office. However, I have never had such a bad experience with a PCPs office before in my life. Back in July I had a very large mass on the front of my throat which was making it hard for me to breathe and swallow. (Clearly not covid. I had a visible lump on my throat.) I came into the office because I was afraid my air supply was going to diminish due to the mass and they made me wait in my car. Because I said "hard for me to breathe" they counted it as a covid apt and made me take a covid test in my car and wouldn't let me into the office until I got my results back. It ended up taking FOURTEEN days for my results to come back. After about a week of not hearing anything I tried calling the office (thinking they forgot to call me or something). NO ONE. ANSWERS. THE PHONE. So I left a message. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. I left 3 more voicemails over the course of the next week. Literally no one called me back for another week. And this was for an issue unrelated to covid. And I ended up having to go to the ER because my breathing became very difficult. In August I had to go back due to a really bad cough. They didn't test me for covid this time but instead prescribed me a cough medicine and antibiotic. Totally fine. They asked me for my pharmacy and sent me on my way. Even though I gave them my pharmacy information they sent ONE of my scripts to my pharmacy and the other one to a completely different pharmacy. I called the office and asked if they sent that script and they said they would send it again. So they sent it again...to the wrong pharmacy. So I ended up going to that pharmacy to pick up. But for whatever reason they had cancelled the script instead of sending it. So I had to wait for an hour while they resent it and it got filled. Now over a week ago I got contact traced. So I went back to have a covid test. They told me I would have results in 3-5 days but that as of lately it was more likely to be 3. After 6 days of not hearing I called in (because I can't work until I get results and with holidays coming I can't really afford to not work). I left a voicemail...because surprise....no one answered. Then I called back 2 days after that and they didn't answer again. Left another voicemail. So then I had my husband call from his phone since we have a different last name and they answered on the first ring. I'm not typically someone to post negative reviews. Especially since there's a pandemic and I know everyone is trying to do their best. But here I am 8 days later and still no results thinking that they're screening my calls.

I will never be going back.
