But we were referred here by a legal office for assistance preparing documentation for court proceedings. But what we got was so much more. We got an amazing advocate in Irene Carrillo. She has been by our side every step of the way. It was not a one-time appointment where we had to have all our ducks in a row and all our questions ready. We have been back again and again because the court has requested this or that and even when there have been issues (because we have no idea what we are doing!) Irene has been so patient and kind. I promise that you are not going to find the kind of help that you will receive from PLDA at the cost (at least anywhere we could find). She is constantly calling to follow up, see how things have gone with court dates, and appointments she knows we have, and even just to check and see how our family is doing.
