My parents had purchased a lot in the past from Norwalk, but I assumed custom furniture was out of our price range, at this point. After one last push from my mom to drop in, we did... and I'm so glad that we did. We worked with Dory--immediately friendly and encouraging of us to take whatever time we needed to find the right furniture for our new home. She helped us through some ideas we had and, ultimately, helped us decide on 3 different pieces. The process had seemed so frustrating and exhausting prior to going to Norwalk; however, we felt comfortable and trusted that we could find what we needed. Just about everything in the store is customizable. We have a sort of "lodgy" feeling home (wood beams, high ceiling, stone fireplace, etc...) but our taste in style is more modern and structured. Dory helped us find the "in between" area where we could get the style we want, but still have it make sense in our home, which we love. In terms of pricing... I truly believe that you get much higher quality pieces from Norwalk and, in the scheme of things, their prices aren't much higher (if any!). We were looking at large sectionals at stores like Bassett, Home Comfort, etc... We did end up going with a larger-than-standard sized couch, but also got a leather ottoman and chair for our living room all for the same as we would have paid for a giant sectional elsewhere. Going custom worked for us! We are about halfway through the waiting to receive our new stuff and absolutely can't wait!

do not shop at this store!!!!…read more placed an order in sept 2014 and i still don't have the furniture!!! after 4 unsuccessful attempts this store admitted it wasn't right and said there wasn't anything they could do about it because it was the manufacturers responsibility. so in nov 2015 i filed in small claims court for the return of my money. i won!!! however they won't pay...... so now i am forced to go back to court to have a lien placed on their business. i have never had such an experience in my life! the customer service has been the worst. please don't make the same mistake i did; don't even go in this store!!

I worked with Lavish for over a year on a major remodel and would never recommend them. Jenny is nice and I love her design aesthetic but I found them disorganized, unreliable, and dishonest. They sell a good story and can't deliver. I had several items delivered that looked markedly different than the ones we had approved (so many excuses) and months of ignored emails/phone calls/texts. My kitchen and laundry room are GORGEOUS but it was not worth the headache, I am very sorry to say.
