If you're looking for the lowest insurance rates in Massachusetts, I'd look elsewhere. There are…read moremany other insurance companies in the area. My overall experience with this agency is unsatisfactory. I began by calling to get rates from them to get a second opinion after getting a rate from Commerce Insurance online. I was told they would get me the lowest rates among 9 different companies they represented. The lowest rate that Judy could offer me was about 20% higher than the rate I was given by a Commerce Agent. I fwded the quote that was given me and was later told it could be matched after some more discounts that were missing before could be applied. That should have been my first reason to walk away. I then got other quotes for renters insurance and after calling a few times, the quotes were different each time I called for for the same coverage. 2nd reason I should have walked away. Then I agreed to pay the quotes that I was given and needed to also register my car which was from out of state. I called the morning before I was going to head in to ask if I could register my car even though my effective date was 1 week later and was told right away that I could. I should have done more research as it's not possible to register a car without effective insurance. Stupid me, but shouldn't that be common sense to the agents who deal with this everyday. It wasn't until I was in the office that I found out I could not register my car that day. I wasted a 30 mile drive and about 2 hours of my time dealing with registration that couldn't even be processed until a week later. These agents do not tell the customers everything they need to know. There are many hidden fees that are applied on the quotes that I was never informed of. I even messed up and had signed up for EFT but wasn't aware that EFT and paperless billing could not be combined and added paperless billing and did not realize I canceled the EFT. I was then charged a fee for switching. Now it has been a whole month since my policy has been effective and I still do not know what I'm paying. Granted I've made a few changes and it takes commerce way too long to update my policy, but I have no idea what fees I've been charged and what my overall policy is. This agency doesn't follow up when they promise to and seem to just not care once the policy has written and signed. Overall a terrible experience dealing with this agency. Now I'm stuck with them for a year. I didn't even write all the problems I've had the last month, but the important ones that would easily make me never go to this agency again. Guaranteed I will be rewriting my policies with a difference agent representing Commerce once this year is up. Please contact me before going to this agency and I will explain and point out the mistakes they made probably over and over again. The other types of insurances, they were able to save me a little, but it wasn't nearly as noticable. I don't think it was just their underwriters, I think they actually listened to what I needed, and were able to tailor the plan to make it much more affordable, while covering everything that I needed.

When I was contacted by Daniel Plourde, I told him that I am not comfortable with people in my house at this time due to COVID. He said we could meet over Zoom. My husband and I accepted this meeting, which was this morning. Daniel's email signature said he was from Fisher Agencies, which is really American Income Life Insurance. I later found more information supporting the notion that this company is a pyramid scheme, including Daniel asking us right off the bat if we knew anyone looking for a job so he could contact them. He also pushed for referrals to other parents with kids whom he could contact about the free child safe kit, even after we said no. This "child safe kit" is two documents he can email you where you can fill out useful information about you and your child in case of an emergency. You can easily get documents like this online or at your local police/fire station. Daniel kept showing us "one quick video" of advertisement upon advertisement for American Income Life Insurance. He told me that my term life insurance policy with a reputable agency wouldn't really convert after ten years if I wanted to move to whole life insurance. He said we had to act now, because the company doesn't usually accept anyone out of their union. I told him we had to go because I had a meeting. He wanted to set up another meeting later in the evening. I told him we needed to look into his claims - particularly what he was saying about my current life insurance. He said we could do that after work tonight and then meet him on Zoom that evening. Even after we said we needed time, he continued to push us to set up a meeting with him that night until I just ended the Zoom call. Our experience with this company was a total waste of time, and we don't appreciate their dishonest approach.
