They also provided a real time of expected arrival instead of something like a four-hour window taking up your entire day. They arrived a little before the time quoted with two people - one the main handyman and one being trained. They did a prompt and excellent job and the cost was very fair. I almost don't want to tell everyone how good they are because then they'll become too busy, ha! They truly deserve your business.

Since we were in an emergency situation, Steve was able to assemble a crew quickly after their scheduled job and worked on our house tirelessly till about midnight and cleaned everything up and was super courteous. Steve and George came out on a Saturday to finish up trim work and putting in the screen door (had to wait for caulk to dry). Steve is unlike the other contractors I've worked with, he shows up and keeps his word and will be there till it's finished to customers satisfaction. Will definitely use him again if needed. In fact, we hired him to remove an old antenna bolted / screwed to the house already. Jason and his team renovated the whole basement by installing drywall, replacing the drop ceiling with a conventional ceiling and new lighting, and covering the entire floor with functional but attractive laminate. They went above and beyond to make sure we were involved in the design and satisfied with the results. In addition, they replaced our kitchen floor, which had some water damage, with beautiful ceramic tile to complement the existing quartz counters. This is the second major project Jason has done for us. He previously remodeled a bathroom for us, replacing all the fixtures and flooring, as well as installing a pocket door. We are very happy with all the work that was done and would highly recommend Building Buddies.

We are now in February 2026, and the project is still not completed despite being given multiple completion dates, all of which were missed. They collected full payment, stating that the job had been completed. Afterward, I discovered that several appliances and toilets they were contracted to install were not connected at all, rendering them unusable. An appliance or toilet that is not hooked up is not installed. Since discovering this, I have repeatedly attempted to contact them to resolve the issue, and my calls and messages have gone unanswered. This has been an extremely frustrating experience, not only due to the delays, but because the work was misrepresented as complete when it clearly was not. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company to proceed carefully, document everything, and not release final payment until all work has been fully completed and verified.
