The barbershop is clean, inviting, and has a great vibe. There's very little wait time, the chairs are super comfortable, and the magazines are up to date. They even have small games available for customers to enjoy while they wait. In the heat of summer, the shop stays cool and comfortable, and in the cold of winter, it's warm and cozy. All the barbers are friendly, and the steady stream of regular customers says a lot about the quality of their work. Parking has never been an issue either, and they have handicapped parking available. Our barber, Raven Baker, is absolutely top-notch--both highly skilled and incredibly attentive. The haircuts she gave us were exactly what my brother Tim and I wanted. But beyond being a great barber, Raven is also wonderfully personable. Well, for whatever reason, pit stop is closed on Sunday AND Wednesday. I understand Sunday but... what the heck. So anyway, I checked good ol Apple Maps to see what else was close by and saw Royal Fades a mile away. Went in, got greeted in a friendly manner and got seated in a chair and taken care of right away by a guy named Scottie Musick. I've never had a person spend so much time and focus and attention to detail on my hair before. Dude shaped me up for like 45 minutes, going back over spots with the clippers, cleaning up corners, making sure I had a good bit of product in my hair and everything. The whole time I got to watch Real Madrid make an amazing comeback in the champions league semifinal against Manchester City on their big screen, it was awesome! There's also a pool table so if you go in and have to wait, play a nice game of billiards in the meantime! He said, "I don't know, it depends on what kind you get." "Well, can you at least give me an estimate?" He then said, "I don't know. I don't have time for this shit." He then hung up on me....I don't think I really have to say whether or not I've been to this place since that phone call. P.S., there's another barber shop less than 100 yards away that will treat you well.
