I stopped at Lehigh Valley to kill time and explore the mall. From the way it looks, it's not a dead mall but one that is on the borderline of being an active and/or a dying mall. This is one of the biggest malls in Eastern Pennsylvania, covering mainly Northampton, Monroe, and Lehigh Valley County. With that, this mall can be busy. Overall, the hallways look clean and tip-top, nicely lit, and well cared for. The crew works hard to keep the mall in great shape. The selections I find here are typical; many general stores ring a bell, and some you may not find, such as Boscov's. Overall, I'm impressed with what's offered at Lehigh Valley Mall. Will I be back again? When I drive by in the area and have time. read more

Sad. Truly the sad definition of a mall. I'm not sure why this place gets talked up as one of the "booming" or "better" malls in the area -- because honestly, I'm not impressed. The layout feels dated, and the energy inside just isn't there. A few decent stores keep it afloat, but it's mostly uninspiring, with a lot of empty or repetitive spots. It's not terrible, but it doesn't live up to the hype or to what you'd expect from a regional shopping hub. If you're in the area, it's fine for a quick visit, but definitely don't go out of your way thinking this is some kind of retail destination. read more

I hadn't been to the mall in quite some time. This mall is an excellent place to shop with various types of stores and restaurants. It was very clean and well decorated for Christmas. The mall of at capacity for stores, no empty holes. There were also outdoor stores as well. There's a food court inside the main mall as well as other restaurants & shops you can walk to outside. The new Cheesecake Factory is opening up inside the main mall. Outside of the main mall. You can walk around to various shops and restaurants. Nicer to do so during the warner seasons for obvious reasons. Over all, I'd definitely recommend shopping at this mall. It's really a nice mall to shop at. read more

There is not much to tell you about this.Big mall.During Christmas they have so many good decorations.The staff is nice.

For the area this isn't an awful mall, but ones elsewhere are more impressive. Is it a little outdated? Yes it definitely needs some upgrades. Was thrilled to go to a Boscov's again, although it's not very trendy. The Macys here was quite nice, and got a couple new ties on sales. Parking was a cinch. The getting around outside was unique. Drivers in this area are rather aggressive. Maybe there was a sale at Boscovs, that I wasn't aware of somehow. Decent food court. Was happy to see some different stores from elsewhere. Good amount of stores in this Mall. They also have a Small Business Gallery that recently opened up next to Macy's. There are different vendors and artists that sell their work and handmade items. The items range from candles, accessories, crystals, plants, art, custom tshirts, nail polish etc. It's my favorite area of the mall at the moment. This mall used to be nice. It seems like all of the nicer stores are gone. Macys used to be a reliable place for nice things and it is not what it used to be. They removed all directories so you have to walk around the entire mall and hope the store you're looking for hasn't shut down. Perhaps they are attempting to reach a younger demographic with the stores now but I don't believe I will be back. read more

RUBY TUESDAY REVIEW I ordered chicken macaroni and cheese. This is what arrived on the table. When I took this photo, I hadn't even touched the plate as my boyfriend and I each had our kids at the table with us. It looks like three of the same chicken nuggets from my sons meal was thrown on this giant size of Mac and cheese. My boyfriends kid got the Mac and cheese kids meal and his looked more edible than mine. If you wonder why Ruby Tuesday is going out of business, this is probably the reason why. Was recently at this mall while in Allentown. It's two levels with a variety of stores and big department chain retailers such as Macy's, JC Penney and Boscov's. The food court was pretty weak with limited options. Only one elevator to be found which was inconvenient. The Starbucks in the Barnes & Noble is so slow you could likely walk both mall floors and they still may mot have your drink yet. The family restroom and changing area reeked of dirty diapers. This is a clean, organized and brightly lit mall. By the entrance there is a sigh that indicate people need to wear face masks upon entering. There are hand sanitizer by the entrance. People were social distancing and wore masks. Lots of stores such as Macy's, restaurant and eateries (Auntie Aunt were opened). I am originally from the Wilkes-Barre area where the malls aren't the greatest and more recently, I now live in Harrisburg where the nearby malls pretty much suck too. So I really enjoy visiting the Leigh Valley Mall. I could spend hours (and lots of $$$!) shopping at this two level mall. I'd say at least 98% of the storefronts are occupied (I saw some "coming soon" signs, so soon to be 100% filled) and they definitley have something for everyone. Anchor stores are JCPenney, Boscovs and Macy's. I love it for the Disney Store where I can get my Stitch fix!! Lots of different places to eat as well. I recommend a visit if you are nearby! read more

So, I didn't buy anything during this visit. Most of the stores in the Lehigh Valley Mall do not match what I generally go shopping for or my style of clothing. It is a clean, well lit mall with the area around it built up and many places to shop. Lots of parking spots. Mall had very little vacancy at the time of my visit, and that was a refreshing change vs. the malls I usually shop at. Several nice places to eat are located at the mall including a Chick-fil-A and Chipotle. The lifestyle center is an interesting addition. Is this King of Prussia? No, but it's probably one of the better malls in the Eastern/Central Pennsylvania Area. It was nice walking through a mall that was busy and active vs. empty and aging. read more

Sort of like the title to the classic Dickens novel "A Tale of Two Cities", this mall is a tale of two extremes based on the types of retailers that Simon Property Group keeps signing up to lease space here. On the inside older part of the mall you only for the most part have stores that either appeal to wanna be hipsters or kids in the 12-16 year old demographic. On the outside "lifestyle section" (whatever the hell that means) it's all about being some suburban yuppie with a fetish for materialism. Don't fit one of those groups? Then more or less Simon Says "F-You". Well I mean they do have one of the more ghetto and disorganized Macy's and I suppose for the dutchy/blue-haired set you can go and overpay at Boscov's but for most of normal middle America, aka not the people who have infiltrated the area from Joisey and Long Island, this place no longer seriously serves your shopping needs and can easily be avoided at all costs. (Based on when I was there last Friday, it looks like it already is.) (Plus one star for still having a B&N.) read more

I grew up in the area so ever since I was little, this was the mall we visited. It is much better now then it has ever been! The three main stores are Macy's, JCPennies, and Boscovs, but there are many new stores and things to do here as well. Not only are there food places and clothing stores, but also entertainment. Barnes and nobles, Yankee Candles the apple store, VR café is a fantastic edition as well as the yearly carnival that comes around the beginning of summer. There are also job fairs, early morning yoga classes, and a new playground for kids. There isn't really a food court, which people seem to not like about the mall, but there is ruby Tuesdays, Chick-Fil-a, chipotle, an Italian place, bonefish grill, a pizza place, soon to be Johnnys bagels, Starbucks, Asian cuisine, Frites, Wetzles Pretzels, Barnes and nobles café (cheesecake factory), and subway. The only complaint I have about the mall is the outdated music. They play the same 2000s music every single day every day of the year except for November-January which is reserved for outdated Christmas music. Maybe one current song thrown in, but nothing good. Security does their job well, so do the janitors and other mall management. read more

The Governor asked all nonessential business to close for two weeks due to the corona virus especially malls and this place refuses to close. This is putting the employees and public at risk. The mall itself is ok - but it is a bit outdated inside. Name brand box and anchor stores, but limited food court. Interestingly the high end stores are separate from the main mall (i.e. Apple, etc.). Overall not bad, but they need to update the interior - felt truly outdated. PROS - open 7 days a week, ample parking, variety of shops CONS - outdated interior decor ( borderline depressing ) Overall - gives you something to do on a weekend. read more

It's a bit unusual for a mall not to have a food court. But LVM doesn't have one. There are a few places to eat but not many. The mall is relatively small with just two levels and Macy's is the best anchor store. There are also more sneaker stores than you can ever need. read more

As I'm getting older I'm realizing...I don't even like most of the stores. There is more stores for hipsters then adults. All the stores that meet my maturity level are in the out door section. But much more expensive then inside the actual mall. I enjoy just killing time at barns and noble. I trust my car in the outdoor shops parking area way more then any other section around the mall. Just a tip though. Don't make eye contact with the guys at the kiosks that want to sell you lotions and hand scrubs.They reel you in and want you to try all the products and then...They will rip you off. They sell half used products and take them off the shelf and bag it for you. Open that bag before you go and make sure your paying for an unused unopened item. They also like to " accidentally" charge your card twice. If you catch them in the act they'll will give it back in 7 to 14 business days. read more

Now that the outdoor mall has opened here, I don't have to travel all the way to King of Prussia or out to Bridgewater for my Ann Taylor and Williams-Sonoma fix. The outdoor mall shops have managed to hire pretty good staff as well. Make sure to sign up for a free cooking class at the Williams-Sonoma. This is based on my experience with the inner mall. It was too cold to walk around to the stores outside. Of course this is nothing like the malls in NY but it'll do for now. They have a nice selection of stores, nothing fancy. They seems gear more toward a younger, teenage crowd. It's clean and surprisingly quiet. You can walk the whole mall in about 15 - 20 minutes which is neither good or bad. I came for a pair of boots and after entering about 6 stores with no luck I finally stopped at Kids Footlocker (Yes I can still shop there). The same boots at another store was $70 cheaper here! Its a mall! I have been coming to this mall since I was a youngin. For some reason my perception was that it never really was updated and I was completely wrong. The inside is very clean and there are usually a bunch of great stores. What really impress me though were all the new additions surrounding the mall. This is a great mall! They have a variety of stores, some are really pricey (mostly the new outdoor stores), but they also have stores that are priced for the average person. It's decently sized for the location it's at. Not as big as the King of Prussia mall, but there's plenty of stores to get a good amount of shopping done. Not a huge selection of inexpensive food places, they should put a food court in. Like any mall, it's crazy at Christmas time, but plenty of parking. read more

It's been awhile since my last update and the LV mall still continues to thrive. It is one of the few malls in the area outside of Philadelphia with lesser storefronts. Vera Bradley and LuluLemon joined the huddle of still relatively active shops on the promenade. Inside, you will see most storefronts full with the near same shops (except sadly, no more Haagen Daz. Coldstone is not a bad substitute, I suppose.) Clean, friendly mall. The restaurant scene is still the near same.It would be nice to see something different. Legal Seafood would knock it out of the park in this area but Red Lobster is still here. read more

When I was in college in Bethlehem, we had two choices -- either hang out at the Westgate mall or the Lehigh Valley Mall. back then this was the better of the 2 - as it is more of a "real" amll with chain stores. Westgate is an old-school shopping center. Thank G-D I don't live around here anymore. read more

This mall has gradually expanded itself over the last few years with the addition of the outdoor portion. The Lehigh Valley Mall has a decent amount of stores that I enjoy shopping at filled with some crap in between. Be prepared to park far away especially on the weekends or holidays. read more

Maybe I am just spoiled from living in the city too long, or maybe LA tainted my few of a real shopping center...this is not one. The nicest dept store here is Macy's and that should speak for itself. I would kill for a Nordstrom or Bloomingdales in this area. There have def been alot of improvements since I was in high school and walking the mall on a Friday night. As an adult, stores like Delias, Abercrombie and American Eagle just don't do it for me anymore. I will give it credit for the new outdoor stores, they are def going in the right direction. In addition to the lack of stores, the service is what really takes the points away in my book. I can count on one hand the semi-positive experiences I've had. In general the sales people are slow to offer assistance and sometimes rude. I want to spend money in your store which equals good commission for you if you are nice and dont make me feel like I am bothering you. I worked in retail for many years and understand its not the most fun job, but it is your job. My picks for good service are the new Starbucks, Bath and Body Works, Express(surprisingly), and Barnes and Noble. I hear alot of buzz about higher end stores coming into the Valley and I can't wait, I just hope the service there is higher as well. read more

I need to clarify my rating of 4 stars. Years ago when I first traveled to this area, this mall seemed old and somewhat rundown. I had no reason to think of stopping. They have recently added an outdoor area. It is pretty damn nice. I went tonight for the first time to eat at Ruby Tuesdays. As I drove in I noticed a Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Apple Store and several cool restaurants. It is such a contrast from the rest of the mall. It reminded me of some of the outdoor shopping areas in California. Out with the old and in with the new. So, they earned my 4 stars because of the nice addition. By the way, I did not make it to Ruby Tuesdays. I ended up eating at Bonefish. Delicious!! I will be back. read more

This is an alright mall. I tend to stick to the outside shops(sephora/pottery barn/william sanoma). The parking can be a bit messed up at times but I park far out so it's not much of an issue. Going inside I like the German restaurant on the bottom level and that's about it. Maybe a bath and body works soap/lotion here or there (they have two locations in this mall) but that's about it. I can find almost anything I need without having to look to far. As for the big stores I've only ever really been in the macys. It had a nice selection of fragrances and cosmetic brands. Over all I don't find myself needing to visit any other mall. Unless I need to hit up torrid. That's about the only store that would make this mall a 5 for me. read more

Closest mall to me, been going here since I was a baby. I have seen a lot of changes over the years, everything is just very very familiar to me. It is my go-to for locations, but selection is big retailers (what you should expect), nothing amazing or out of the ordinary. They have a Chick-fil-a, that should be the most important part of what I can say. read more

As it's the largest indoor/outdoor shopping center in the region, it's convenient and easy to occupy time and a way to spend rainy days. For the past nearly decade and a half we ( husband and I ) have frequented this mall multiple times a week for one thing or another and one of the best things was that I ( as a paralyzed young woman knew that I could not be a burden bc they offered wheelchairs for free , yes I have my own but if it's broken or in for repair/ replacement or we have the car it wasn't in we were still able to do what we needed. Then today 4/16, like many Saturdays, we came to the LVMall for some last minute Easter needs , my wheelchair is being repaired and when my husband went in to get a chair while I sat in a handicapped parking spot he was told the mall no longer offers wheelchairs. you are verging on illegal activity and alienating a large group of people. Disgusting. And atrocious Covid is no longer an excuse. ADA 1994. There is something wrong with Simon management or whenever made this decision. read more

It's a good mall but I don't think they should be open on thanksgiving. It makes me not want to shop there at all.

My wife and I were having dinner at a restaurant close to this mall, and we had time to burn, so we decided to stop in and take a look around. Over the years, I have probably been to this mall a handful of times. To say it nicely, this mall is pretty bad. They do have a Macy's which is a decent department store but it just goes all downhill from there. JCPenney and Boscov's are awful. The store selection is pretty bad, as well. However, they did have a pretty big Champ's sports store and a Foot Locker so I was able to look around there. I guess maybe this is a pretty good mall for the area, but in comparison to other malls, this place just isn't that good. They did have some food places scattered throughout the mall, but there didn't appear to be a food court. I also noticed that the pizza place was out of business. How the heck does a pizza place in a mall go out of business? There are plenty of restaurants that surround the mall - just nothing inside the mall. I actually think my 2 stars are being generous - I won't be back any time soon. read more
