When you don't want to deal with the crowd at lehigh valley mall you come here. This mall is located just off of route 78 across the Scott dealerships on the Automall. They do not have nearly has many stores as you will find at lehigh valley mall however you can still find a great quality of assorted stores. Some of the stores include: Bath and body works, Victoria's secret, payless shoesource, footlocker, schuylkill valley sports, piercing pagoda, and Bonton just to name a few. There are also a couple of cell phone retail booths and a jewelry store. I have yet to travel to all the stores at this mall even though it is not large. I usually stick to my the right side of the mall where most of the athletic apparel can be found. In the mall parking lot, you can find a starbucks with a drive thru, a Taco bell and a bank of America drive up ATM. read more

The two larger department stores are Bon Ton and Stein Mart -- neither of which I particularly think of when I want to go shopping for clothes, household items or even just to browse. Both those stores strike me as geared towards older folks. Their third big tenant is Black Rose Antiques which is a place that vendors can set up shop and sell anything from over 100 years old to the mid '80s although I heard that the proprietor wants new vendors only to specialize in pre-1950s. Again...items for older folks. Two of my preferred stores have closed: Steve & Barry and Borders Books. Now when I go, all I see are a lot of vacant store fronts. There is nothing at this mall that would attract anyone under the age of 65 and there's no real food court or place for guests to just hang out. It's the type of mall where you come in knowing what you want and then leave. It's not the type of place where you can walk around with friends for a few hours, play video games, have a latte and read a magazine, or anything like that. More modern stores or specialty stores are needed. In other words, there is nothing at the South Mall that you can't get somewhere else. The one thing this mall has over the larger Lehigh Valley Mall is its Santa photos. The actor looks true to form and the lines are non-existent so if you're looking for Santa photos this Christmas, this is the place to go. read more

This was my local mall growing up. When I was a kid the mall was cool! They had Phar-More (who remembers that place? I can't even remember how it was spelled!) EB Games, etc. etc. the economy was booming, people were happy and every space had a store! Fast forward to the last few years... Phar is gone, EB games is gone, the economy is in shambles, so many empty spaces for lease and the only things that are consistent there are the 3 jewelry stores all in front of each other and the mall walkers! They had a clothing store for young women there not too long ago. That place is gone. Big surprise when a young 20 something clothing store is run by two bitter old women. The only reason to go there is for jewelry (from chain stores of course) or maybe some antiques? They have a huge antique place right across from Dunkin Donuts? Do we need this many antique places? One in the triangle, one across from DD and now one in the mall! Maybe they should just make the mall an antique. The economy hit everyone yet South Mall let it fall to pieces without a fight. read more

The vape store is AMAZING ! Great guys! They don't hustle you or give you the run around. They either have what your looking for or can order it. And if they can't they will tell you where you can can instead of trying to sell you something that you don't want. Honest employees. Love them. read more

South Mall - Amazing accessories - Shopping Centers Near Me - Allentown, Pennsylvania

Decent location. Plenty of parking. On the mid-February Thursday afternoon, around 3:30pm, I was amazed! I entered the mall from the end by PetCo. The mall was DESERTED! It was bright daylight outside, but inside it was like a combination of a Paul Blart movie and Dawn of The Dead - NO PEOPLE and it was eerily QUIET! I thought the place was abandoned but they forgot to shut the lights off! I did all my shopping at the Mercantile shop just outside of the Bon-Ton. I only went to the South Mall because Merchants Square Mall was closed this day and I had 2 hours to kill. I gave the mall 3 stars out of fairness. Location. Parking. Not crowded. What little I saw, garnered an honest 3-stars. The rest of this mall? Yet to be reviewed. read more

seriously, these reviews are ridiculously negative! no. 1 reason to go: black rose antiques mid-century, industrial, retro, vintage jewelry and clothing - and antiques, too. vintage is really popular again and you can find lots of it here. it is actually a very hip and fun place. no. 2 reason to go: it is kept immaculately clean. the management really seems to care about how this place looks. and there ARE other stores of interest: victorias secret, bath & body works, petco, coffee beanery, claires, foot locker, dick blick art supplies, japanese steakhouse, staples, several jewelry stores, an upscale nail salon, gertrude hawk chocolates, 3 hair salons, radio shack, wine/state store, ross, starbucks, etc. etc. - in addition to bon-ton and steinmart (like a small marshalls/homegoods). bank of america is in the parking lot and this area has almost every other bank within a few blocks. also, many fast food restaurants in the parking lot, and nicer restaurants close by. so, no, it's not king of prussia or willow grove and it is small - but certainly should not to be condemned and is not just for 'older folks'! i find this to be a safe and secure location to shop. there is ALWAYS a security vehicle cruising around. i can run most of my errands in one small area, get a starbucks and go antique shopping! good enough for me. maybe not for everyone, just my opinion. read more

I really enjoy coming here! I am a 31 year old woman and I have two young daughters. While everyone stands in line at the ridiculous Lehigh valley mall to rushed through to see Santa, I bring my girls here to see Santa every year. I never wait in line, the staff is so friendly and the Santa there is very friendly with a nice big real fluffy beard. There is a Victoria's Secret, Bath and Body works and many other interesting stores. It's kept perfectly clean including the restrooms and I can enjoy myself there without feeling overcrowded. read more

This place should be bulldozed and replaced with something relevant. Walking through this mall makes me feel not only like it's 1985, but like I'm 85. There's really nothing of interest on the inside of the mall. The outside has a Staples and a state liquor store, along with some other things. I could never figure out why Starbucks decided to locate here. Sort of like if BMW opened up a dealership in downtown Allentown. Oh yeah, there once was one, and they moved out... And finally, one day my car was vandalized in the parking lot here. The security guy told me that they don't have any security cameras at all looking at the parking lot. Seriously? read more

South Mall... It's only 5 minutes away from where I live, so my mom and I used to go here all the time back in 1995~2000, and that's before all the old stores ran out of business. Now, this place is soooo empty and has nothing to see whatsoever. Steve & Barry's used to be OK, but they ran out of business due to bankruptcy. If South Mall doesn't start getting in some more modern and popular stores, then this place will shut down for good. read more

I don't have a problem with the mall itself however, they need to get more security to walk around regularly. Last night I witnessed a woman changing her child's diaper in the middle of the mall exposing the child to anyone who was walking past. It was absolutely appalling, unsanitary, and disgusting. Not sure what kind of parent would even do something like that. Many of the people that go to this mall are questionable and while this was going on no security could be found. There is no reason this woman could not have taken the child to the restroom which has a changing station. Just pure laziness. read more

South Mall is a great little quaint mall. The staff of the stores are very friendly and it's a nice place to kill a few hours. Very clean and well kept too! Yes, the store selection could be better, but hopefully they can get their act together and star attracting some businesses to fill some of the empty store fronts. I loved looking through the Antiques store and already am recommending it to others. read more
