At the outset, she assured me that she could have the house fully prepared for sale within two weeks. In reality, the process was poorly managed and lacked proper planning. Instead of ordering inspections early--when there would have been time to address any issues--she waited until after the home was staged. This created significant complications. For example, our septic system issue was only discovered late in the process, resulting in a bobcat in the yard during the first agent tour and the replacement had to go into the condition of the escrow. Additionally, plumbing problems surfaced after all staging furniture had already been installed, turning what should have been a smooth preparation into a stressful and chaotic situation. These issues could have been handled far more effectively with proper sequencing. I was also advised not to make repairs, based on her view that buyers--not sellers--should invest in improvements. In practice, this approach felt short-sighted and did not serve our best interests as sellers. Overall, the experience lacked professionalism, foresight, and sound judgment. While she may have a strong reputation publicly, my direct experience--and conversations with other agents--suggest that the reality of working with her can be quite different. I cannot recommend her based on my experience.

I like to test agents at open houses and ask them questions like "how does the Buena Vista trailer park controversy impact the future of this neighborhood", just to see how well they really know the market. Unlike many other agents who delegate open house duty to inexperienced colleagues, Lori supervises the open houses herself. These kind of questions are too easy for her - she is always on top of things. Many agents work in too many different cities to follow these events. One thing that really stands out about Lori is how ethical she is. We've done a few transactions in Palo Alto and I've learned to take what most agents say with a grain of salt. Lori is honest and upfront with everything. I'd trust her even if I was on the opposite side of the transaction. I know this because I once bought a property from her through a different buying agent! Another thing I like about Lori is her constant and detailed communication. When selling a multi-million dollar home, I expect to hear all updates immediately. With Lori, we got email, text, and phone communications each day with the status of the open house, contractors, interested buyers, etc. We were updated whether the news was good or bad, and nothing was sugarcoated.
