This potential real estate transaction started out well as most realtor relationships do but, when…read morewe were forced to move to a short sale things started going downhill. Turns out that the Lichtenstein team apparently had little to no interest in the short sale process and failed to keep me abreast of what was going on. I started communicating with the legal team on the short sale for my information. Additionally, Lichtenstein and his team did not seem interested in keeping abreast for their own information either. As an example, even though there was a scheduled closing date, it was known weeks ahead of time that the closing would not take place on that date. Two days before the scheduled closing date instead of finding out the status of the closing one of Jeff's minions was pushing for us to be out of the house in two days. Since I knew the status of the proposed closing I didn't bother to reply to the repeated calls to leave the house by the closing date for the potential new owners. I don't know what the realtor's role is in the short sale process but if its not to keep their listing client informed, then the client needs to be told that at some point. On top on it all, when I requested my house key back it took several days and numerous calls and text messages to find out that someone threw the key away. When asked it they were going to replace it the comment was It's only $2.00. Jeff appears to have a good track record for regular home sales but for short sales, I'm not impressed.
