Just a station for connection? No. Just a transfer station to another train? No. This station…read moreoffers more for daily using. I am using this station once a week for my current study place. It's well designed and it offers manu shops like an albert theijn, DeBroodzaak and a kiosk for you're little snacks and drinks, a flower shop for buying some nice flowers for your crush or family. On the outside, there are some restaurants situated like a burger king, deli france and Julia's pasta. But I also recommend the new starbucks location which I didn't notice first. There are lifts for disable people, luggage or bikes to the platforms. Wifi is accesable with KPN or from the Albert theijn and another located shops (some of them have free Wifi acces). Also escalators and stairs are avaiable. In a few words the station is well setted and located from Amersfoort centre. For questions and help there is a information desk avaiable and staff are friendly. Connection are well to Schiphol, Amsterdam (even south and central station), Utrecht and among others. Also a little valleilijn brings you to location in the region of Amersfoort like Barneveld. Also are there restaurants located in the surroundings of the station like Overbuuren.

There are good connections from here to Schipol, central and not as central Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam among others. There is a large bus station and sufficient bike storage outside the station. This is a clean and well serviced station. It has an information centre for any help or queries and a WC (although I've never seen it open). Staff are friendly. There are lifts to the platforms for access with bikes, prams and for the less abled as most platforms (1-7). Most platforms have one escalator which only travels up so the lift is useful with luggage too. They are a good number of eateries here mostly outside the station. Inside is a Kiosk on platform 6-7, a platform based restaurant on platform 4-5, an Albert Heijn to go at the back of the station, another Kiosk, Smullers and DeBroodzaak at the front. There is also a flower shop and Akos here. Outside, there is a Burger King, Starbucks, Julia's pasta, deli France, and a pub I can't remember the name of. There is also a fish Handel quite popular at lunch time. Across the road from the station is Overbuuren which is a nice 1930s style restaurant.

Well, it's a station…read more As I've lived in Dordrecht until the wonderful age of 18 I've seen the station undergo many renovations and redesigns. Sadly, none of them so far have made it work. Dordrecht is a rather small station, having 8 platforms in total. There's also the bus station at the city centre side with busses that will take you into the city centre (handy if you're planning a city trip.) The station itself: Unfortunately, things are rather badly signposted. The 'large screen' showing all platform information will be right there in your face when you enter from the city centre side, but if you're coming in from another platform, good luck finding it! One thing I still don't understand is how they designed the passageways - they're a bit small and often cause people to miss their train connections because of bad flow. The elevators often don't work, or are dirty to an embarrassing extent. There is a Broodzaak, Smullers, and AHtogo. AH being the exception where it's open later than the other stores which close around 6pm. Like I said, it's a station. When you need to pass through here, be sure to plan an extra few minutes to catch your next train.

Station Dordrecht is pretty bare bones. There's a beautiful original station hall but it's not…read morereally used for much more than housing the ticket office and AH to go. There's no indoor place to wait for your train, which in the winter can be pretty chilly. The station itself is also not situated super close to the old historic centre of Dordrecht - you'll have to walk around 10-15 minutes before you get there. This is because Dordrecht lies on the main original train line between Rotterdam and Antwerpen (via Roosendaal). But since the hispeed line was finished a few years back this route had become less popular. In fact, the NS was planning in shutting down normal intercity service to Belgium in favor of the hispeed trains but had to reinstate them after lots of lobbying. You can still catch the intercity to Antwerp or Brussels here, at least for the time being.

Do not stay at this hotel, they are infested with bed bugs and owners won't do anything about it!!!…read more I found this hotel on booking.com, it had 5 star reviews but was cheap so I booked it. Should have read more into the reviews. When we went to retire around 10pm and pulled back our sheet covers we found not only STAINS THAT LOOK LIKE BLOOD on the sheets and also LIVE BED BUGS!!! I have picture of this! This is awful, no visitors should be subjected to staying in a hotel with a bed bug problem, its a terrible health violation! We spent another hour after that running around trying to find a last minute hotel in the rain but got the hell out of there stat! I am still struggling to get my full stay refunded, owners wouldn't refund me from the first night after we left because we weren't willing to stay in an infested room. The old guy who doesn't speak english saw the bug and stains when we showed them and shrugged! Couldn't even offer us a different room or fresh sheets in the hotel. Claimed the mattress was new and when we pulled back the sheets there we yellow stain on it. When I talked to a lady named FIONA the next day she tried to claim there were no bugs in the room (Even though I have pics and my bf was there to witness it as well!). I told Fiona "I have pictures to prove you have bugs, it's not about not liking the hotel but a serious hygiene and health issue!" she was totally rude and said "well I'm sorry this isn't america". I'm sorry what?! Because it isn't america it's ok to not have have basic hygiene in your hotel? For 100$ I don't think I'm asking for much to expect a non-bug infested room and to have clean sheets without blood on them? Also as a minor side note their WIFI didn't reach our room at all (Even though the booking site said it has excellent wifi) and there also aren't common areas to use it. But honestly that was the least of our problems with this place. BTW we stayed in room 9 .Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place!

Im giving it all these stars because the staff was very, very helpful and friendly. That goes a…read morelong way with me. A positive experience. Cheap and charming.
