The following day he called my wife to give her an estimate after claiming my insurance company was taking too long to approve the charges. What he was asking for is $850 to pull out an SUV, that amount sounds as if an 18 wheeler was involved. In what seemed like an effort to get me to pay out of pocket in a hurry, they told me they wanted to get the vehicle pulled before the next storm. Off course, typical insurance speed, they took forever to approve thw charges, but I was glad in the end they did. I reluctantly gave the wrecker service a go ahead, to which the jumped to ask to process payment before they even gave me an eta. I refused to buy that, and later retracted my ask for help. The charge seemed extraordinarily high, and sure it was! I reached to my insurance one more time, and they finally sent a better deal for me...it didn't take 15 minutes to be pulled out, and for only $100, which insurance paid. In the meantime Mitchell's called asking for permission to send a technician to ge me pulled during my absence. No thank you Mitchel!

The owner refused to sign a release for the insurance company to pick up the vehicle, stating he did verbal releases only. We thought this was odd, but didn't argue. Then it got worse. Our insurance company sent a tow truck to pick up the car (it was totaled and we have full coverage), but he refused to release the vehicle. The insurance company described the owner as "belligerent" and said he had been dodging their phone calls for a few days. He held onto the vehicle for 10 days, charging a storage fee for each day. Our insurance agency had to hire an outside towing company that was "experienced in difficult situations" to go and retrieve the vehicle. Stay away from Jr's Towing and Recovery. They WILL scam you!

We dealt with Calvin, mostly, although the whole team is great. After the experience with Zelda, we also returned to get my stupid accident on my 2022 Prius taken care of (I literally left the hatch back up and tried to back out of the garage). Not a huge deal, but a total pain; and the Champion team took such great care, got the car fixed, record time, no issues, insurance happy and I'm happy. There are a lot of auto body shops - sometimes it feels good to find one that is honest, ethical and timely.
