Leland built two sheds for me side-by-side. They are the Defender series with a 10 year warranty. One of the sheds leaked after less than 4 years and caused $13,000 worth of damage to the contents. The owner Ron has said several times he would get back to me after I supplied a detailed list and photos of the damaged items. He has not gotten back to me and they are not responding to me or the Better Business Bureau. WARNING - DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!

Leaning Pillar

I'm disappointed and frustrated with LeLand Sheds. After multiple attempts of emails and calls, so far they have refused to return my calls to make a simple fix to the shed they installed. To give some background, I paid for a she to be installed onsite, they took my final payment the when they arrived onsite. When I arrived home to inspect the install, I noticed that one of the pillars was leaning. I took a picture and sent it to the Leland office and talked with Morgan, my sales person. She assured me they would take care of the issue and it was minor. That was in November 2020, it's is now January and still have not heard from them. I cannot use the shed because I'm concerned about safety of it falling. Poor customer service.

Back of shed

I gave Leland's a general description of my dream shed (office) and they took that loose description and made my dreams come true! Kayla was so patient with my endless questions and my "what if we did this" calls and the endless size quotes! My shed had to be built on-site due to delivery issues on my street. The crew that came were so nice and professional, did a great job and left the site clean. I couldn't be happier with the build!

Shed

Thank you for the great service in my search for a shed. You were prompt in your responses and Exceeded all my expectations. I look forward to any future projects I will have for you.

The pricing was not that much more expensive than the pre-fab companies like "Tuff Shed", but the worksmanship is infinitely better. Kevin will visit your house to help you envisage what's possible. He is very familiar with local city codes (your HOA CC&Rs may differ, of course). There were no bothersome follow-up sales calls. The team works with your schedule and doesn't seem to bombard you with spam because they trust in their work/reputation. Build was over in one day. Painting was over in a few hours. Kevin kept me up to date on everything as it was happening, and their on-site team was very professional and knowledgeable. I only had to pick out the paint, and the rest easily fell into place. Thanks, team, for your great work!

We first used DFW Shed and Fence Company two years ago to build a small shed in our backyard for my…read morewife to use as an artist studio. Prices were competitive and it looked like the quality was better than the Home Depot/Lowes parking lot samples. The owner, Kevin, was very helpful when he came out to measure placement within our property and answered all of our questions and concerns. We had several features we wanted to customize so this was not a standard "out of the box" build. An antique door and window from Craigs List and window panels from Lowes were no problem or added expense for his crew to put in to our specifications. All was done within one day. This summer when our falling apart fence needed to be replaced we checked with several other companies and DFW Shed & Fence. Pricing was all within the same range. Again, Kevin came out to measure and answer all questions and gave us options so we felt confident in using him again to build our new fence. The two man crew was quick and efficient with the tear down and stayed late that day to complete the new construction and clean up. Kevin also showed up that day to check on the work being done. In a few weeks after drying out, we will stain it ourselves. We are very please with the results for both the studio shed build and fence construction. A five star rating and we would use them again without hesitation.

Personable, friendly gave a great bid but unfortunately was not up to the task…read more He seemed to have a real issue with measuring. The closet he built us does not have a right angle in it and one side is a full inch and a quarter longer than the other, making it very difficult to find a door. The sliding door he installed is not centered so there's this weird filler on only one side. He didn't give us the correct measurements to purchase the door in the right size to begin with, which I think caused the off-center installation. Either he decided he couldn't do the work or got bored with the job, either way, he left us, for weeks, in the middle and went to do another job (very well reviewed, with pictures on Yelp). He made excuses every day (he was sick, his dogs got loose, Home Depot didn't have what he needed...) about why he couldn't come, never mentioning he was working on a different job. We only found out when we were looking through Yelp and saw their review. He finally showed back up with workers that he hadn't had before and asked that I pay half of their day's wages ($400 which was not an agreement in the original bid). The next time I saw him, he showed up around noon, got nothing done for a whole half day then left again. That was the day we decided we had to change. We needed the work done by March and he had proved we could not rely on him. (By the way we are still struggling, as elderly people unable to do the work ourselves, to get the work completed and it's now the following January). We had paid him in full for several jobs that he either did not do at all or did not complete. We requested a refund. He gave most of it back, in small amounts, with a couple of months prodding online, but never came through with the final $100 he owed us. I was angry, but now I'm just sad because he seemed like a nice guy, but as the job wore on it was obvious it was just too big for him and he had an excuse every day why he couldn't be here on time, why he couldn't be here at all and why he always needed more money. He would go to Home Depot every day and buy supplies that we paid for and one day he decided to buy himself a new power tool, that we paid for. I guess nice people have issues too. Sadly, I would not recommend him.

Painted my house, repaired Hardy siding, repaired and replaced tile in a bathroom, fixed rotted plates in my shed and turned an ugly storage area on the side of my house into something attractive and usable. I have a pier and beam house and the metal posts were rusted and flaking. The crew completely revived them and made them like new. They were always on time and communicative, and now that they're done, I feel like I have a new house! Would absolutely recommend GJB to anyone needing a well rounded handyman service for just about anything under the sun.
