This place is unbelievable! Whimsical over the top. Great prices! Anyone reviewing this complaining about the prices doesn't live in the heart of the metroplex because this place puts other plant nurseries to shame. I could have spent hours wondering around. The outdoor space is huge and set up with pathways. There were so many surprises throughout not only with their unique statues and sculptures but there was a cage with a giant live peacock who actually spread his tail feathers out while we were watching him. It was incredible! If you're looking for garden statues, you will find something you love. They have everything from animals, gnomes, dinosaurs, aliens, flowers and all types of things. They have benches, gliders and swings that are extremely sturdy made out of hardwood. Very high quality. There is every size planter you can image. They even had wood burning stoves! The plants and trees were fantastic! They had such reasonable prices on trees. We purchased 4 trees 5 years ago from a nursery in Dallas and the trees at Roland's were bigger and at the 2021 price we paid back in the day! You can tell the employees love what they do and rally care about taking care of the plants. Everyone seemed happy and asked us several times if we needed help. If you're in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Roland's is 100% worth the drive. read more

What was once a great place to buy all of your nursery and landscaping needs is no longer. Over the last 10 years I've spent a lot of money with this nursery so much in fact that the owner recently commented that I probably purchased his Corvette for him. As the years have gone by greed sets in and what's best for the customer (service, quality of products & loyalty) is no longer the motto. Very disappointing to see it come to this, but unfortunately, I will need to start purchasing my landscaping needs elsewhere. read more

Spent a reasonable sum of monies to have our back yard landscaped a year ago. Looked beautiful when finished. Here we are a year later, $1300 Sabal Palm tree dead, yucca tree dead, 3 little plants dead, and side walk with flagstone, stone falling apart. Called to complain and was told their not responsible for 'mother nature' and therefore have no 'control' over it. Asked if they would at least remove palm tree and was told for $200 they would. We spent a total of $38,000. Be careful what nursery you choose. read more

A really beautiful nursery that is not only a good place to shop but also a peaceful and stunning place to visit as a garden. I was disappointed in their lack of smaller plants to purchase and also the prices on their yard art seems very high, thus the four stars instead of five. Their secret garden is a gorgeous place to have an event or a wedding. Looks like room for several hundred people to roam about, with stone archways and lots of lighting and lots of outdoor seating and a large dance area as well as a indoor pavilion. read more

this is the most ridiculous over priced nursery I have ever been to. It's not the plants, they are more expensive than Lowe's or Home Depot, it's the pots. They have a huge inventory because no one ever buys the pots. They start at $199.00 for a small one. It's crazy. Do your self a favor and go to Ollie's, Big Lots or Walmart. Their pots are reasonable. read more

I called Rolands because we wanted to redo the landscaping on the front of our home . Jorge responded and had a design within a few days . We are so pleased with it . He listened carefully to what we wanted and included it all . He brought a crew with him and within a couple hours the old plants were taken out and replaced with new ones . They were also so neat and clean up after themselves . When they left it was perfect ! Thank you we love it ! As a matter of fact he is working on more designs to incorporate in our back yard this fall! read more

Couldn't have been more pleased. Roland came out to assess the job and provided a timely estimate and comprehensive plan. He thoroughly explained everything and made sure to disclose the time frame for project commencement. Once our project began, the workers arrived on time and put forth extreme effort and care. From the beginning, it was quite evident that the job was even more involved than originally planned. However, at no time did I hear about it - I merely observed the arduous task on a day by day basis. In addition, the amount of decorative stone installed was rather obscene, given the slope and area to be covered. Nonetheless, everything was carefully placed according to plan. Also - in any large job, there will always be unanticipated obstacles and unforeseen hurdles. The true mark of a great business is how it handles these situations and accommodates its customers. In this case, Roland went above and beyond and will absolutely receive my future business - and most likely, that of my family and neighbors read more

I really love Roland's! Every time I go, the staff is so friendly and helpful. They make it a point to know your name and what you like, and really give the term "family owned business" meaning. Prices are great, and their selection of flowers and plants really are abundant. They also do personal landscaping, my neighbor had her yard done and I was blown away. We spent close to two thousand dollars on plants & had them delivered and planted. We were told that the plants were all guaranteed until the first freeze. about 4 weeks after they were planted the magnolia tree (that we'd paid a little more than $400) for started to look bad. We called Roland's and asked that someone come look at the tree and tell us what we could do to help it. We sent pictures of the tree, text Roland, and talked to him and he was rude, not helpful at all, and in fact said that the tree was beyond helping and that if we'd come in he would split the cost with us to buy another tree to replace it with. We reminded him of the warranty and the fact that it was only September and we hadn't had a freeze. He said that after the plant was in the ground he couldn't guarantee it because people take care of the trees different than he would. We DID NOT go back and buy another tree. The only thing we wanted was advise on how to save the tree. We said a prayer, went on line, took care of tree and she is doing good and has survived the winter & the first freeze DISPITE Roland and his advice. Our advise to you, if you're looking for plants....Look Elsewhere. read more
