Every month, $313.27 are taken out of his account. On March 1, 2023 my son was pulled over by an officer that hand randomly ran his tag and in his system, it showed that the car had NO INSURANCE! We called State Farm's Customer Service (1 800-782-8332) and we spoke with several Customer Service Representatives whom ALL told us "this is weird, we see your son's information but there is NO POLICY! It seem's that the Agent dropped the ball on this one". My son received a citation for not having insurance. On March 2, 2023 I called Josh Minore's Office and alert them of the situation. I have been told that they apologize, when this policy was written that it was left in "limbo" and no one noticed it. I have been told that when this policy was written, it was sent to their underwriters team and "somehow" the underwriters team never sent it back. My son received his insurance binder and insurance card so we thought everything was legit and it was not. On March 1st, I paid $96.11 to add him to another policy while they fix this mistake. Jose told me that it would be refunded by the end of day on March 3rd and it never did. However, Allison said it would be refunded until this was handled. April 10th is our next billing cycle and TODAY, March 29th.... they took out another $313. 27 from my son's account. I emailed Allison 5 days ago asking how would the billing situation would work out and she never replied UNTIL today after I followed up. With them all being parents, you would think that they would be more understanding and helpful, but NO. It's through their customers that they support their families and this is the type of services that we got. I share to avoid it happening to anyone else.

I have been a client with state farm since 2003 and have always enjoyed the excellent customer service and coverage. I have used State Farm in three states for Auto, Home and Renters, never with an issue until now. I have come to learn that each agent is an independent operator, and therefore handles their services independently and by no means does this one agent reflect all of State Farm. In January I received a notice from my apartment community that I did not have renters insurance (which I had purchased through Dana Shivalier). I contacted my agent and asked what had happened because I paid in full for 12 months up front in July, and was informed that they had my address entered incorrectly. No big deal, they changed it, from the same address, just a different apartment number. I am then billed for a 'change of address'. I inform them that I have the binder, which shows my correct address as originally issued in July, but refuse to acknowledge that the error was their fault and demand payment. She informs me that she will get back to me by Friday, but rather than talk with me, cancel my coverage without notice. I find out my coverage is inactive when I receive a notice that my multiline discount has been removed because of an account that is no longer active. I contact a different state farm and they handle the entire process for me. There are many state farm agents, find a different one!

Fast forward to the week of July 13th. I called on that day not the 14th. I asked if I could have at least until the end of July 30th because I have been diligently looking for work. I was told on July 13th that I would have to call on the 14th?? Even though I was calling a day ahead of the 14th...!!! Then the supervisor who took my call on the 13th (who I was talking to at this time) told me there were no notes saying that I had until the 17th of July- Even though "she was the one" that I spoke with on the 13th of July!!! I said, well I'm calling now which is the 13th. The manager told me no I could not have until the end of July. Then I asked could I have until the 17th of July so they would not auction or sell my car. I was told I had until the 17th of July. That was a "ball face lie" !!! I called in on the 17th of July to make my payment to get my car back. I was told that the car was sold on the 15th of July!!!! I said that I was mislead and I requested for the call to be pulled because it would prove and demonstrate that I was advised I had until the 17th of July. When I requested for the call to be pulled, I was not given a date when it would be pulled- even though I indicated it needed to be pulled today- right now!! I escalated my complaint up to the corporate office and I requested for the director to call me back "after" he had listened to the call. Not only did he not call me back- he had the store manager of my store, call me back-not him!! The based on what the "manger" told me- Either he didn't listen to the entire call or just played a portion of it thereby not being able to prove that I was advised that I had until the 17th of July to get that payment in!! The Director was too much of a coward to even call me back and allow "us" to listen to the call because that information was contained on the call about the July 17th 2026!! Don't do business with this company ever!!

June 2017 is when I found out they never did. Phuto said she's very sorry she changed the mailing address but forgot to transfer the insurance. So, I have been paying renter's insurance to an apartment that I no longer live in for six month and my current apartment was never insured. So, I asked them to back date my current apartment insurance date to Dec. 5/2016 so it shows this apt. been insured since dec. 2016 instead of June 30/2017 or give me my money back which is about $93.00. They said "No" to both requests. I called state farm customer service multiple times to sort it out or at least give me a decent explanations but every person that answers the phone puts me on hold, talks to the agent, come back and says "they're sorry they can't help me, I have to discuss it with the agent. They just took my money for no reason at all! The agent Robert was very rude! he told me to call my lawyer and hung up the phone on me! I'm also so disappointed in how state farm handled the situation. They don't do anything to help you when you're having issues with your agent! I have already changed the agent and looking to the change the company it self hopefully very soon. If you decide to go with this agent, e-mail them all requests -that way you have proof, DO NOT DO AUTO PAY- mine was auto pay, there was no way for me to see what I was paying for.
