    Pad Thai

There were about 20 in the restaurant and no wait at the door. Ambiance was good, food was timely, good portion, good price, staff was friendly. I would consider again. I added a picture of Pad Thai. I asked for medium heat and it was about right.

Lemongrass is a nice spot on the corner with affordable Thai food and sushi. I typically get the pad Thai or curry and both have super bold flavors. The service has always been hit or miss, but it is a great place to hangout with friends at UVA.

A quick dinner trip from Washington DC area to Charlottesville to try Silly's favorite restaurant food. And it did not disappoint! We ordered lemongrass chicken (because, duh!) and it was a perfect combination of well cooked chicken in a savory and spicy sauce! They recently started serving sushi which was okay; would probably recommend some other restaurant if you're looking for sushi. As fast as the ambience is concerned, it's a small with limited seating and a very young staff. you might want to consider ordering carryout because this place is usually full and parking is not free on-site. Paid parking is available on the garage above the restaurant. All in all, great food and definitely taking silly back there again!

Yummy Thai food on the Corner. Nothing exceptional, but good food and reasonable prices. Staff is friendly and responsive. I ordered the Thai fried rice with beef (mild) and was shocked by the heat. I would recommend mild or no spice is you're not too fond of chilli and/or have a low spice tolerance. I usually order mild/medium without a problem, but this place is no joke. The fried rice was yummy, aside from the heat and the beef, which was a bit chewy. I enjoyed the spring rolls. Unfortunately, I noticed the sweet and sour sauce at the bottom of the container too late. I was happily surprised with the tempura cheesecake. By the time I placed my order, the whip cream had melted and I was afraid the cheesecake would be soggy, but it actually maintained a crisp until I got home. It was the exact treat I was hoping it would be, and came with gooey fruit syrup. As for COVID guidelines, it seems like the staff is good about wearing masks and avoiding food contamination. There are allowing indoor seating currently and there weren't too many people in there at once, though I would recommend just ordering out.

I often come during the week for lunch but was lured in by the promise of Ramen on the weekends from 12-5 PM. I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen and my friend ordered the spicy miso ramen. Overall it was amazing. I'm so glad I came and I'll have to add it in to my rotation for places to eat.

Was really hoping for a great Thai food experience but unfortunately this place fell flat for me. I ordered the pad see ew noodles which is one of my favorite Thai dishes - the noodles were extremely gummy and had very little flavor. One of my friends I was with got the drunken noodles and was also disappointed. Service was friendly and prices are cheap but was left looking for more flavor.

Chicken appetizer. Dry chicken but tasty sauce

I've been here multiple times. Great location as it's one of the few walkable STABLE restaurants near the Grounds. A lot of restaurants on the Corner had gone through major changes during 5 years I've been at UVA but Lemongrass wasn't one of them. It's because it has reasonable price for good food and nice iterior. I usually get pad tai but today I tried curry. The server asked me how spicy I want in scale of 1 to 10 and I thought 6 wouldn't be too spicy. I'm not gonna lie, it was spicy. I had to sip the milk tea with every bite of the curry dish, but it was still delicious. The brown rice was cooked very well and had purple rice mixed in to give pretty color to the rice. The chicken appetizer that we got was a little dry but the sweet and sour sauce accompanied the chicken very well. I would come here again but I recommend you not to underestimate the spiciness scale.

As is often the case on this arcade, the restaurant also has a dedicated set of outdoor seats at the middle of the brick walkway. You'd think all of this would be an upgrade, but no. First, I ordered in advance online to spare myself a wait, not knowing that it was an actual sit-down restaurant. However, upon arriving at the space, there was no one to take an order if I'd wanted to place one, and only rarely did anyone emerge from the back with food. I just took a seat and waited. By the time someone acknowledges my presence after some fifteen or twenty minutes, my food was apparently already ready and just sitting there. I didn't leave a tip as my impression of this place was that they weren't really providing any service. There's nothing wrong with a counter service model rather than full table service, but one way or another they seem not to have figured out what they were doing. Other potential diners also seemed confused. Don't get me wrong, the good was great. My ginger lemongrass noodle soup delivered an explosion of flavors. Would order again. I just hope they improve the customer service experience, because this is a great opportunity for the average local to try some vegetarian Vietnamese food.

The restaurant felt well-organized, and the staff greeted us right away before showing us to a booth--our favorite type of seating. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, giving us plenty of time to look over the menu while also offering a few personal favorites when we had questions. That balance of great service and genuine hospitality really stood out. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Tom Yum Lemongrass Soup with pork and the Chicken Pad Thai, while my wife had the Wonton Soup and Drunken Noodles. Our friend chose the Dry Noodles with Duck and finished the meal with the Fried Banana Ice Cream for dessert. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and arrived surprisingly quickly.
