We have eaten or had takeout from this restaurant for years. They don't have "authentic" Asian or Italian dishes, but it's always been tasty, filling food that's different from the usual sandwich or burger. Recently, they seem to be going downhill. In the Korean noodles, the cucumbers have been reduced to slivers instead of partial slices, but on tonight's visit, it was even worse. The steak pieces were barely pea-sized! For $17 (we ordered double meat) we could barely find them. It has never been this way before. If they are trying to cut costs, they will also be cutting customers because we are not sure if we'd bother going back to eat just a bowl of noodles with not much else in it. read more

They have a good variety of noodle dishes, both Italian and Asian. They also have a few other things like dumplings. Be aware that things marked even a little spicy do have noticeable spice. Food is ready quickly, and there are a good number of tables to sit at. read more

The food was really bad. Despite having so few customers, the quality was not what we expected. They had a small menu, out of which there were barely any vegetarian options. We took some pasta items and some asian items, but the food was bland, tasteless, and with barely any veggies. Portion sizes are very small, even if you buy the regular size. I honestly like noodles and company a lot and cvilles location has always been good in my opinion. I am surprised at a number of negative reviews, I've never seen the place dirty but I guess I have only gone in when they were relatively slower. The food has always been great with large portions, and reasonable prices. I don't love their Asian food but the Italian pastas have always been pretty good. My new favorite is the garlic and cream tortelloni, and make sure to grab one of the snickerdoodle cookies, they're so good! read more

When my husband said he found a place that looked a little better to eat at and we walked into this place, I set my expectations very low. But, it was not as bad as I thought it would be, to be honest. The spicy beef Korean noodles were pretty good and filling. Has a little kick, but nothing a self respecting lover of spicy food cannot handle. They did not taste very "Korean" to me, but whateva. We also tried the Korean meatballs, which were surprisingly juicy and tasty. If you know me, I have a weird food hang up when it comes to meatballs, so this was a win. The potstickers though? Unremarkable. The kids meal is a good value. Kida got the pasta with 2 meatballs and steamed broccoli. Comes with a hippie juice box, aka Honest Kids brand. So here it is 2021 and my friend and I decided to give noodles and Company another chance. I am sad to say it was not any better than it was five years ago. The only good part is the staff, they have very friendly staff. The macaroni and cheese comes with elbow macaroni a little bit of grated cheddar( I would believe) melted on top and at the bottom is a very liquidly, milky, flavor less sauce. The penne pasta with the pink blush sauce, with Parmesan crusted chicken , spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes, all sounds very delicious. Well, I was very disappointed. The penne pasta was cooked al dente which I like. There was not much of the sauce, and when I asked for a slight difference in the sauce ,?they replied that, all their sauces come pre-made. My Caesar to go had wilted lettuce, only a tiny bit of grated Parmesan, and two mushy croutons. read more

I have to watch my blood sugar, which pasta really affects, BUT I crave Mac n cheese like crazy. The Wisconsin Mac n cheese with cauliflower noodles instead is fantastic. My blood sugar stays level, and they actually look, feel, and taste like regular pasta. My favorite is the Mac n cheese with chicken and broccoli added, and cauliflower pasta. read more

I didn't have the most pleasant service and experience the last time I went in but the food was so good I found myself back just a few days later and I'm so glad I did. when arriving I was greeted and told the menu on the side was the better one to look at and just said how I would get confused on what to get because everything looked so good I should just stay with the plan I had when coming in and then she explained again it was the better menu since it listed the ingredients more thoroughly. I let her know from the few days prior waiting so long I think I know have it memorized , she looked puzzled and wanted to know why it took so long and I began to tell her and just said that we love the food and we would just come at times we're not in any rush since to go orders took priority and she said that's not how it works at all and was blown away when I told her how the visit before we and many others were told they could not take our orders they needed to work on the online ones. Another staff member who was a manager came over quickly and they both began to ask questions and apologized profusely and genuinely made me feel they were upset with the guest's experience that day and did a little extra to compensate for the other day. Speed was an issue here. Coming here at 9 on a Friday night, it took 25 minutes for me to order and then receive my food. Once I got my food, it was delicious, but it was a little expensive. What terrible food. My child's Mac and cheese is cold macaroni with cold melted cheese on top. No sauce. My pasta is dry and not flavorful at all and where is this sauce they speak of? Garlic bread burnt and again, cold. Forgot my child's drink with her meal. Oh and you might mention that broccoli as a side for a kids meal would be served raw. I violated my #1 rule and ordered a non-specialty menu item. I got a cheesesteak sandwich at a Noodle restaurant, so my expectations were not high. The description said it had the cheese sauce from their Mac & cheese, so I went for it. It wasn't terrible but the filling reminded me of a hot pocket. The bread was okay, but nothing special. My wife had the Japanese Pan Noodles. She said the flavor was good because it was a little spicy but could have used more vegetables. They have one of those soda fountain machines where you pick from the screen and it dispenses accordingly. A slight cool factor for the place. 2 entrees and two drinks for under $20, works for me. read more

It's not just location. We really need a place where we could feed 5 children and all the nice places had wait times that exceeded the children's patience. So we end up here. It had been long enough to forget how poor the food is at Noodles & Co. They did deliver a perfect reminder of the insipid and poor quality menu selections I remembered them for. Stopped in for lunch with my mother, and based on what I'd heard from others, I was expecting good food and service. Boy, were we wrong. Not only did the food come out soggy, greasy and flattened (potstickers), there was not a table to sit at as all the tables were covered in trash from the previous customer. I know alot of people make some questionable judgements about this place and most of them are understandable. Most of the items on this menu aren't particularly exciting and all the Asian noodle dishes are at best good efforts and at worst terrible attempts at cultural appropriation. The only reason why I give this place 4 stars is because this is the best mac and cheese money can buy commercially in Charlottesville in my opinion. I remember when I was studying for my MCAT's and I was feeling terrible, I used to come here and just buy the biggest bowl they would allow me and it would cheer me up. Thanks Noodles and Company for making bomb Mac and Cheese. Also this place as fresh pepper grinders which is more than I can ask for other restaurants. Did anyone expect that a "restaurant" that serves noodle dishes and other options all from a variety of cuisines would do anything right? Garlic cheese bread lacked both garlic and cheese. The potstickers were oddly flat with a so-called chicken filling that seemed more like processed mystery meat. A simple meatball pasta had meatballs that seemed like they were competing against elementary school lunch lady meatball for worst meat-like sphere. The one decent thing I've had here was a pesto pasta with chicken, but it wasn't anything you couldn't find in a frozen entree or by combining some prepackaged items. This is my fourth trip here, three of them only because the person I was with wanted to use their Coke machine. The first was to try it out. I have never been impressed. To go order today came with no silverware or napkins. Thankfully I was taking it home and not somewhere else. Bangkok Curry has an unpleasant look about it, seems to be more bean sprouts than noodles. Sauce is all at the bottom, what little there is. Taste is meh. A good amount of sweetness to this one, some lime, coconut, and a tiny hint of heat, but not much sauce at all. Everything I have had here is bland. I'm unsure how this place really stays in business when 4/4 times I could have done better in about 15 minutes of throwing random ingredients onto a pile of noodles I made from a box. read more
