Now, if you know, what an official check is, it's like a cashiers check only it's the banks money that's guaranteed not the account holders money that is guaranteed. The reason I made the phone call to begin with, was to avoid wasting time and gas for no reason. When I arrived at the check cashing place, presented the check, the employee in trying to verify the check, called the company who issued me the check. She did not say anything or ask any questions and hung up. She then googled the phone number provided and because the first three digits were the same as phone scams she refused to cash the check stating because there's a scam with that particular phone number. I googled the phone number and showed her that is was not that particular phone number, that only the area code and prefix were the same. She then became rude. Said good luck cashing my check with a sneer. IF she had done her actual due diligence, like she had stated over the phone, she would read the article from 5 years ago in which it is a male person calling people trying to get personal information. NOT the same number. NOT a official check scam. Prime example of what customer service has become, work harder at not working. This is absolutely an unprofessional way to conduct business. Small price to pay to know I won't be doing business with this company ever again.

The banker who opened my account was excellent--professional, efficient, and very helpful. She explained that Social Security had changed its rules and that banks could no longer process direct deposit changes directly, so I would need to handle it myself through Social Security. After finishing the account setup, we went to the teller counter for a few other things, and that's when we met JoAnn. We mentioned how we had been trying to update my direct deposit without success. Without hesitation, JoAnn offered to try to help. She told us there were no guarantees because of the new Social Security procedures, but she would at least prepare the paperwork so we'd be ready for the office in Needles if needed. Two weeks later, we discovered that the direct deposit change had gone through. Thanks to JoAnn, we were spared a long trip to the Social Security office. She went above and beyond, and we are now her biggest supporters. This is the kind of customer service that builds loyalty. Wells Fargo is very lucky to have a gem like JoAnn on their team.

Went to the bank on Monday to cash a $310 check, I told the teller at the drive thru "Can you please give me 20's?" "Sure Okay" after 7 or 8 minutes I get the envelope and leave the drive thru, then I park at the store next to the bank to check my envelope. Instead of 15 $20 bills she gave me 3 $100 bills and there was already 5 cars in line and I sure as hell was not going to wait that long, these bank tellers really need to pay more fucking attention when a customer makes a request and is nice and polite about it.
