Shortly after moving to Bullhead City in 2016, I decided that I wasn't happy with my local…read moreinsurance agent and came to Ms. Applewhite looking to change Farmers insurance agents. I had bundled my auto insurance with my home and wanted a new agent. At the time I signed on with her, I distinctly mentioned that I also owned property in Safford, Arizona and that I wanted to keep this policy with the agent in Safford. Ms. Applewhite agreed but a few days later, the agent in Safford contacted me to tell me that Ms. Applewhite had taken the policy away from her. The Safford agent wanted to know why I had changed agents. I told her that a mistake had been made. I was perfectly happy with the agent in Safford and had told Ms. Applewhite not to touch the Safford policy. When I contacted Ms. Applewhite, she was apologetic. She blamed the national office for having made this mistake. I asked her to fix this problem. I told her that I had never authorized changing the agent of record for my home in Safford. Ms. Applewhite said she would fix this problem and I believed her. I was wrong. It took me ten months to realize that Ms. Applewhite did not fix this problem. Not only did she fail to address my concerns but she also failed to tell me that the problem had not been fixed. I understand that mistakes happen ... but failing to correct a mistake and then not telling me about it is just wrong. I honestly don't know whether Ms. Applewhite is grossly incompetent or if she was behaving in a sneaky and underhanded fashion in stealing a policy from another agent. I don't think either quality is desirable in an insurance agent. I have filed a formal written complaint with the Bullhead City Chamber of Commerce. I have also filed a complaint with her district manager. I am in the process of pulling all policies from Ms. Applewhite and will no longer do business with her.

Fed up with them, referred to contact an office in Phoenix. This office has a phone number, but they don't exist. Finally reached someone that referred me to this office in Bullhead City. Contacted Mr. Davis Raper. Total professional! This guy was absolutely amazing! Quotes... pricing.... follow-up! He was always on top of his game. Then, he leaves this office - (better opportunity) and I'm told that, "Renee" will take care of me. Well? Here's the first MAJOR red flag!!! When you email an agent for information and they reply... over a week later!!! And their signature line reads.... Renee (That's it!! No last name! No contact information. Not even a phone number or email address). Chances are, the individual you've been handed off to will be a severe disappointment. But I gave Renee the opportunity to prove me wrong and guess what? She didn't!! Not only is Renee incompetent, this person is completely clueless! I emailed the office, requesting auto renewal information and the response was... "a payment is due the 17th." Ok! Great! I contact the carrier to make a payment and the policy is canceled, (lapsed coverage) on the 5th!!! More buffoonery from Renee! I email back to ask her what my options are now that my policy is canceled? The reply reads... "Call the Phoenix office, they can help you." No more business with Citywide Insurance! Horrible.
