Mattamy Homes received the contract to expand the community. Welcome to Island Village! We have done our research, traveled to Florida several times, and felt this was our best option. Their interactive website and photos are all on point. The YouTube videos say it all. Who doesn't want to be part of a old town feel community. Our meeting with Mercy was incredible. She made my wife feel like they were old friends before her plane landed. Our home is being built to our specs. We're very excited about our future. Process was very easy and you can use their financing or an outside lender. No high pressure sales. We changed our minds about the home we wanted a thousand times and Mercy was patient with us the whole time. This was over a few months. She sent us information by text, email, regardless if she was on vacation or having a day off. The pool and community center are built, but they are waiting approval to be opened for use. I can't wait! They look fabulous! The walks, which we are already doing daily, are so nice. The park is nearly finished, and also looks wonderful. Kids are going to love it! I can't wait until the shops open up next year. For now, we are just down the road from the main shopping area of the original Celebration, with all its charm and fantastic restaurants and shops. I am so glad we moved here!

But his family and him don't pay anything yet have rights to our pool and he doesn't even live here. Nothing is kept up the cabanas at the pool and the chairs are so moldy when we were allowed to use our pool we played out blankets on the ground because it's cleaner then the chairs. Definitely the poorest quality track home I've ever lived in. I've also never lived in a home with such little storage either. They seriously only give you one single little coat closet that's less than 2' wide!! Same with the kitchen. Three whole drawers for the whole entire kitchen and definitely not enough cabinetry either! Both bathrooms have zero drawers as well. Also small windows in all the bedrooms & family room. Then sliding glass door in eating/dining area. All other areas throughout the house have no windows so it can get very dark and stuffy if you don't keep fans running 24/7 to circulate the air into those areas. Oh and the garage. Aside from the one in the ceiling, there's only one electrical wall plug for the whole entire garage. I've never seen a track home do this before. Every home I've ever lived in had at minimum 2 outlets per wall! Plus ceiling. For the price these homes are going for, within an area like this, I'd definitely skip this neighborhood and check out another area for better value and a better built home. Not impressed !! The home is only like 5 years old and stuff is falling apart on it all over the place. Like cabinets, door hinges, door handles. Base boards. Showers. And I'm more careful with stuff than the average person.

I am missing the entire security alarm system, I have broken granite, cracked door frames and doors, etc. It's a nightmare. It looks like they built these with construction leftovers. The construction supervisor is hiding from us. The only one that is trying to help is the customer care guy. He schedule the different teams to come and fix things and they don't show up.
