She let me look around, no pushy sales person here and when I showed her what I thought would be good she enthusiastically agreed. The doctor was great! It was the rest of the visit I was not too happy about. The woman on the sales floor wouldn't even get up to help me look for frames! She told me twice, "Just look around". They could have sold me expensive frames, offered advice, given me guidance. But, sadly, that didn't happen. I was in the medical industry for a long time and all I can say is this.... Lazy and uncaring people have no place being in this profession. Go flip burgers or make tacos if you don't want to interact positively with PAYING clients. I took my son to LensCrafters's in the Largo Mall for his eye exam. He is an adult who is on the autism spectrum. After his exam, Sharon helped him with picking out his new frames. She was extremely patient and helpful! When it came to the costs she wasn't able to check his vision insurance due to the glitch in their website but came up with a good plan for him cost wise and said if insurance is better then they can adjust the payment amount. I appreciate her thoughtfulness and kindness towards him! I'm happy to say I'm a customer here also! read more

Had appointment for yearly eye exam. day before received a text informing me LensCrafters requires patients eyes be dilated at a cost of $37. I texted back I see a retina specialist and had my eyes dilated 2/4/25 and would be having them dilated again 3/31 and did not the dilation return text stated it was required. So I texted I'd discuss it at the appointment. Must say, the woman at the eye exam reception desk was beyond unhelpful She repeated the same story as the text. I told her I'd pay the $37 but not get the dilation. Again she said I had to have the dilation or I could cancel my appointment and pay the $40 cancellation fee for cancelling with 24 hrs of appointment I said I'd talk with the doctor when my time to see him I waited 20 minutes past my appointment time and still no doctor, the receptionist attended to a patient who arrived after me and just ignored me. I finally left two $20s with a note saying cancel my appointment (which was now 30 minutes past time) and I left. Today I received a generic email from LensCrafters asking if I meant to cancel and to now reschedule I had been a customer for several years but no more. read more

Beware. The selection of glasses is horrible. Prices are very high compared to other chains. They didn't ask but just added the one year eye ware protection plan for $34.99. Didn't tell me that I had a 30 day happiness guarantee, within which I could exchange the frames if I wasn't satisfied. I have been wearing glasses for 50 years, so I'm pretty hip to how optical shops treat their customers. Number one, the scratch resistant coating is always guaranteed for a year. Not so with LensCrafters. Without the protection plan, you are out of luck. But with the plan, you only pay an additional $25 to replace the lenses. Also, as you can see from the length of the receipt I received, (another beware--they make it possible to decipher what has actually been purchased by reading through the receipt--), who would actually read it in its entirety? I've always been treated with the utmost courtesy and integrity, so I didn't think I needed to read it. My bad, because when I came in to have the lenses replaced and asked about exchanging the frames because they keep slipping down my nose no matter how they adjust them, the answer was a flat no. This was only 15 days after the 30 day guarantee had expired. Great customer service. I liked the optometrist there, but I will never purchase their high-priced, sparse inventory frames ever again. read more

Came in as a walk-in on a Monday with no appointment but they were still able to see me. Everyone was super nice and professional from start to finish. I have a follow up appointment next week for no extra charge. I received contacts and glasses. First time ever getting contacts and they have you watch a 5 minute video on putting them in and taking them out. They made sure I knew how to do it and was comfortable with it before leaving. They also have a big, nice selection of glasses. I bought both regular frames and prescription sunglasses. I can't wait to wear them, super cute! read more

Stopped by today to buy a pair of sunglasses. Sadly when I refused to provide my name, I was told they would be unable to sell me the sunglasses as they are "required to open a file on me." So not only did the child masquerading as a supervisor/manager lose a sale of 119 USD, the store also lost a 2nd purchase by me for 200 USD, as well as another purchase by my wife for 300 USD. Avoid this store like the plague. It seems they are more interested in collecting identifying and medical information than selling product. After I arrived home, I bought what I wanted directly from Rayban. Wonder why so many brick and mortar stores are closing? My experience is a reason. This joker could have just typed in any name or taken my name from my credit card. Go figure. It would be nice if this issue could be escalated to an adult, but I won't hold my breath. read more

I went in to browse glasses and I felt like the guy who worked there treated me like a bag of money and was so pushy. All the glasses were expensive and I just really felt annoyed by the service. Once he saw my insurance he made it difficult for me to leave even though I was clearly not interested. He told me after he gave me the quote, I didn't really want, that now I have to call my insurance because my benefits will be locked if I go elsewhere. I would have said no to a quote if I knew it would cause such an issue. I definitely prefer the times I went to Target or Walmart Optical over Lens Crafters. I won't be back. read more

Hey y'all, LensCrafters only cares about making money off you. If you want to buy something then great. If you need an adjustment, well "we can't do that." I had the same long-haired skinny woman tell me they aren't allowed to make adjustments on two different visits, yet they were all a-okay to fit me for new glasses. I've spent nearly 2K in their store this year. NEVER AGAIN. I used to pay out of pocket and disregard insurance to use LensCrafters. Never Again. I was a loyal customer for well over 5 years. And don't even blame Covid for your lame policy, or perhaps the long-haired skinny woman's policy. Let me start off by saying I actually love LensCrafters, but not this location. The eye exam was great, but the two technicians that helped my husband, my daughter, and I treated us horribly. I offered the technician my Davis Vision insurance card, but he didn't want to look at it. Instead he opted to try to pull up my insurance. I told him I have Davis vision, but he insisted I had Eyemed, which is only a discount. (Turns out that is my secondary vision coverage) The woman helping my husband snapped at him when he insisted we have Davis vision, and said "not everyone knows what their coverage is." We ended up paying almost full price for 3 pairs of glasses. After much persistence, because believe me, they did not want to listen, they ended up refunding the money we had spent and re-billing our glasses to DAVIS VISION because we actually do know the insurance coverage we have. read more

My exam was good, well at least I thought she did a good job. Came back in two weeks after my exam and advise the optometrist I was getting headaches while wearing the glasses. She then recommend that I use eye drops, didn't even look at my prescription or anything. I walked out unhappy because I had spend over $200 for my glasses and that's all she was going to recommend. Long story short, I visited Target optical got an exam, he then informed me that my prescription from LensCrafters was too low for my eye, basically wasn't strong enough. Going to LensCrafters is a waste of money and time. They do not care about customers, just how much service they can get at the end of the day. read more

I don't know why these guys have gotten low reviews... they are extremely busy, however every single person I spoke to and worked with were extremely kind and helpful. I had a complete eye exam by Dr. Young. Very thorough exam, and they fit me in on my return to try new contacts. I've been getting exams and glasses since I was 7 years old and I think they all did a great job.. I also noticed as a customer that they treated each other well.. respect between the team through very busy days... I went back a few times... if anything, they need more staff.. but appreciated their customer service. read more

Skip this place. I have been with Lenscrafters for almost seven years. I'd been traveling and ran out of contacts. I tried to order a new box of my normal one day lenses and get a few trial lenses until the new box was to arrive in the mail in 5 days. The office staff said they could only give out two lenses. So for one day. Because they must be thrown out each day. Any good eye doctor will tell you that. So basically they want me to get an eye infection or be blind because they are stingy. Then they said if I make a donation they will get me some. What?! I've never heard of such a thing. No other LC does this. I purchased glasses at lens crafters in 2016. I did not get a second pair at a discount or no additionnal cost. They wanted $300+ dollars for 2 pairs. What false advertising..tehe pair I did get cost me over $138.00 no eye test. The glasses broke in 3 months, side arm fell off. Took them back to get them repaired got them back 5 days later only to have the other side arm break off. Ordered new pair off amazon different company half the cost better glasses. Dishonest, lied to me when I asked to have my non-glare coating off my lenses. Kept saying it's not possible, then when she looked at my glasses she said it's starting to peel off. I replied , you just told me it's impossible, then she denied saying it was peeling off. Went on youtube it shows how to remove it with the lens cleaner they sell. However still waiting for my husband sunglasses since August 20 UNBELIEVABLE. First pair had an imperfection in the lens never noticed till my husband tried them on. Then they tried to give them a cheaper version of a glass holder for his Ray-Ban sun glasses. Never ever would I visit this business again. read more
