The "beautiful" $400 sunglasses I waited over three weeks to receive.

"Glasses in an Hour - or 27+ Days; Whatevs." I paid for a pair of glasses on Tuesday June 3rd and was told they'd be ready by the next day at the latest, because they were having a slight issue with the lab. I was fine with that. Friday rolls around and I called them to see what was up. I'm told that they "weren't happy with how the lenses came out" so they decided to send them out to have them done. Again, I can deal with that, but I didn't understand why they didn't call me to update me - I had specifically requested that they call me when my glasses were ready, so they had my number. Apologies ensue. Skipping forward to the next Tuesday, 7 days after order. I stop by this time, and I'm told they're still not ready. No estimate of when they'd be ready was provided. More empty apologies. Now it's two weeks later. No phone calls, no updates, no glasses! I call again and they say they're not ready. Great. THREE WEEKS LATER. Today. I try one more time. Now I get an estimate at least - of June 30th. This is just an *estimate* of course. Who knows when they'll be ready? I sure won't because no one seems to want to call me and let me know! :) I'm heading down there shortly to get my refund and make sure they know that neither I nor anyone I know will ever do business with them again. ***UPDATE*** The General Manager of the store convinced to give them another shot. He said he had the lens they needed in stock, but it wasn't a gradient lens per my order. I decided to try it. I went to pick them up today... and they were literally Coke Bottle lenses. Horrifying. I have 4 other pairs of glasses and/or sunglasses and NONE of them are even remotely close to these monsters in thickness. Got my refund on the spot. I'm going to attempt to upload a picture of them - they are Tiffany frames. AVOID THE MANCHESTER MALL LENSCRAFTERS!

OK, I know what you are thinking. Walmart for eye care? I felt the same way and I have to say…read morethat I owe Walmart an apology. Up until 2 weeks ago, I would have never thought of going to Walmart for vision issues. I ranked it right up there as if they had surgeons on staff (would you go get your appendix out at a place like this). I was completely wrong. This office has just about the same modern equipment as my previous optometrist minus the very expensive Opto-map. Initially you sit down and get checked for glaucoma, initial prescription measurement and some other device. In the main room, he broke out all the fun stuff from the funky eyeglasses to a huge assortment of headgear, lights, hand held lenses and charts. Overall I was in the office for over a half hour. This visit was way longer than my previous doctor. What was nice is that he explained every step he was doing. Overall, I felt as though I received more than I paid for. Excellent! I know for a fact that every aspect, angles, inside/outside of my eyes were checked. Wow. I never left any previous doctor with this feeling before. The outside staff is a bit bland on their customer interaction but guess what, I kind of liked it. No hand holding, hovering, forcing you to buy the most expensive stuff. He pushed the script to me and began to process my initial contact order. I had to ask him to buy glasses on top. Nice! NO Pressure! Overall the pricing is excellent. Copay, contact fitting, 1 pair of titanium, transitions, full scratch/glare protection, another pair of Safety Prescription glasses and disposable contacts for....$680. I don't know about you but if you go to some doc's that is the cost of 1 pair! I think I paid 500 bucks for my previous pair of glasses. Thank you WalMart. I will be going to your Vision Centers from now on. You helped me realize how much the markup is on glasses. Opto-map? Quick comment. It's a costly machine which takes a picture of your retina for the doc to scan on a PC's display. Much hype but insurance usually doesn't cover it. This doc uses light and lenses to peer into your eye and inspect the retina. Same thing, old school. WORD!

What a mistake! Walmart Vision Center is the best! Best customer service, best prescription glasses and they have a great selection of frames. I need bi-focals, and the glasses I get from Walmart have the reading portion perfectly placed. No thought involved when I need to see something close up. The competitor? Went back to them 3 times for them to correct them and ended up throwing them in the trash and coming back to Walmart. Oh, and did I mention great prices? That too.

So much for paying more for quality. I picked up glasses in April 2024 (17 months ago). I noticed problem about 9 months later and planned on returning but forgot (currently using my last pair not purchased here). I now need to get eye check-up etc...I went into My Eye Dr expecting problem to be taken care off due to obvious defective/poor quality control. (see photo; glasses in perfect condition - no scratches or sign of wear and tear). I was told that there is only a 1 year guarantee; however, no where on the invoice does it say so (getting the run around here?). I was offered a 50% discount to relace glasses due to defects caused by the manufacture. Now does that seem fair to you????????I will discuss problem with my insurance company so they are informed and to get advise on finding an Eye Dr that is reputable.

I had called at 9:00am to order more contacts and to see if they had extra daily disposable contacts that I could have until mine came in as I had a wedding to attend. The receptionist told me she would check and call me back. 5 hours passes and no call. I walk in to pick up a family member's order and I asked about my contacts. She rudely told me that they did not have any contacts on hand (which is hard to believe given the fact they always have extra samples when we come in for our exams..I mean after all this is an eye care office) and told me I HAD to go to the wedding in my glasses and I had no choice. She never recommended an alternate option such as giving me a paper prescription to see if I could get the contact lenses elsewhere because she is insincere and cold. She told me that she never called me back because she wasn't able to find any contact lenses for me. I politely told the receptionist that I would have appreciated a call to let me know about the status of the contact lenses, to which she raised her tone and began to yell at me. The amount of disrespect I was shown is unbelievable, especially for a professional setting. I felt like I was being yelled at by my grade school teacher for not sitting at my desk like I was told. After her yelling subsided, I asked for a paper prescription to see if I could fill my contacts somewhere else. Willow Eye Care has lost me and my other family members as customers. Do not go here unless you want to be yelled at and treated with disrespect!
