Avoid the LensCrafters at 6 March Avenue in Manchester, NH. They sold me a One Year Eyewear Protection Plan and then refused to honor it while it was still active. The staff incorrectly claimed it was expired even after I showed them the written contract. I was bounced between the store, corporate, and Asurion for months with no resolution. It got so bad that a representative from the NH Insurance Department stepped in to help -- and she was also given conflicting information by both LensCrafters and Asurion. Even with a state regulator involved, the store still wouldn't take responsibility. This is the worst customer service I've experienced, and I strongly warn others not to buy their protection plans. read more

Three tried and the lens were cut incorrectly. They must have changed suppliers. Cut the lens next time, not the cost of the lab. The staff were clueless. read more

My appointment was on July 11th. I ordered glasses and sunglasses. They said they'd be ready in 7-10 days. It's now 29 days later and they just suggested I accept a refund because my sunglasses are on backorder. I called three times and was told three different things. No one seemed to be able to give me an answer about when they would be delivered. If you want to work with professionals, go somewhere else. read more

Ordered a replacement pair of glasses under the insurance I purchased with my original glasses. It has been almost a month and I have received zero communication about them. I call every day, several times a day and NO ONE ever answers the phone. Not once! There's no way to leave a message, just a recording saying that the store will reach out within 2 business days. Well, that certainly hasn't happened!! Nor have I received a promised text that my glasses are ready.... I understand if a business is understaffed or busy, however to not pick up the phone once in a month or even return a call is unacceptable! I will not do business with LensCrafters again. read more

First of all one star would not recommend. I bring my current pair of frames in to have them replace the lenses that I had previously scratched up, upon dropping the frames off 20 minutes pass by and I get a call stating that one of their technicians had broken my frame now I am being required to pay for new frames after they broke them and they're only willing to reimburse me half of them. for people looking to get new lenses for their glasses for the price that they charge. I would just recommend finding somewhere else to get a whole new set of glasses and frames from, instead of taking a risk and being told that they won't reimburse for any of it. Mind you I'm being told that older frames tend to break Sometimes. these frames are only two years old as I've only been wearing glasses for two years now they are not old. They were just not properly handled at that store after I dropped them off. Assistant manager was unable to help as he was the one that was putting me in this situation and not being helpful at all to my situation. read more

They were pleasant but they gave me conjunctivitis during my exam. They denied it of course and wanted to charge me more money to look at my infected eyes. I wouldn't go there simply because I don't think they wash their hands. read more

Kathleen was simply wonderful, yesterday, 5/28/2024. My husband had lost his glasses. He needs them for reading and driving. Kathleen showed us the brands, he tried several and chose the one that fit and looked best. Kathleen then took over, entering computer data, taking photos, all the while making us both comfortable. I've been to a few different LensCrafters locations in New England and this one is by far the best. I can always find time to go in when it's convenient for me, the staff is very friendly, helpful, and professional. They have the best selection on glasses out of the locations i've been to and since it's a good sized store you don't feel crammed in there when it's busy. I would also like to give a shout-out to Joy for being so awesome and patient with us. My father isn't very easy to deal with and she makes the process of getting glasses not only smooth and easy but also was incredibly kind and fun to talk to. she helped my entire family get glasses and made what could have been a stressful process, a very smooth one. Our family appreciates you guys!! I would like to add that I was able to get my glasses within 2 hours of ordering them and my sunglasses came in within a day or two of placing the order which is the fastest i've ever gotten them!! read more

Extremely rude! I do not recommend LensCrafters. I bought a pair of glasses (March Ave., Manchester, NH) and 4 months later the lens popped out and I could not find the lens. They stated that I would have to pay for the additional cost of a replacement lens. The lens popping out was due to poor workmanship. Why should the customer have to pay for loss of lens because someone didn't bother to do their job, right? I finally found the lens, and brought it back in to be popped into the frame. They said that "there were other customers in front of me"--and I would have to wait.... they just couldn't do it right then and there? so I just dropped off the lens and frame for a few hours and came back. Therefore, the customers who have been subjected to LensCrafters poor workmanship and inferior quality still have to wait at the back of the line....... My conclusion is I'm a customer who is now in their back pocket, and now they just don't care.....Furthermore, they did not produce my progressive glasses in one hour, but in 2 weeks--just like all the other glasses stores so that is false advertising in my view. read more

The visit to LensCrafters was for my wife and myself. We both needed an eye exam and our intention was to update our lens prescription and have them installed in newer frames which we already had in hand. The eye exam was great. No issues. Dr Lopez took care of us well. Five Stars. After our exam we entered the LensCrafters Store and met with Jan. If we didn't know that Jan earned commission on sales, it was obvious after 17 1/2 seconds. It was clear she was not happy that she wasn't selling my wife and I brand new frames along with our new lenses. It became so bad that Jan even stretched the truth a bit about the lens crafting procedure... Anyway, we have only lived in Manchester just under two years and selected this location because of its proximity and convenience to our home. We will be more selective next time as this experience made us both feel that we would have been treated better if we had only spent a few hundred dollars more with Jan. Yeah, I'd recommend the doctor for your exam but not the store for your frames and lenses. read more

Not only did they fit me in for an eye exam at 5:15 when I called at 4:40 (on a Monday), but they also found a way to get me a discount on my exam (AAA). Then the store manager Jessica very patiently helped me select the perfect frames. I needed to have my new glasses ASAP so she called another local Lenscrafters that was open later, and made sure they could fulfill the order TONIGHT. I'm not sure how associates are paid at Lenscrafters but I do know she did all of the work for none of the benefit to herself. That is the sort of employee I would do anything to keep!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Do not go here! We spent 1k on two pairs of glasses a week before this Covid stuff. We didn't like one pair and wanted to exchange them and was told that when they stoped only doing emergency appointments we could exchange them. So we called and now they backed out of their word and will not honor it! WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY trust me- go somewhere else! read more

Frustrated and now heart broken. Went into the store with a request to have the ear pieces curved a little more on my still new Ray Bands. I made this request to the employee and she stated "Not a problem at all". Then the nightmare began - she proceeded to heat up and bend the center of the frames - I said "woah woah woah, that's not what I was looking for, the nose piece is fine it's the ear pieces" the employee looked up at me and just ignored me.. after a few moments finally started to complete the task I requested. At first I thought everything was okay, but after basically running out of the store in discomfort I realized she dug her fingernails into the heated frames denting the plastic.. poorly adjusted the ear pieces... nose part fits all wrong.. too much heat damaged the finish on the glasses.. I am heartbroken. Haven't even had these 400$ frames for a year and now they are ruined... Going forward I know better to speak up more when an employee doesn't listen to you right out the gate. I'm extremely disappointed, and it's a shame that people just don't take pride in what they do anymore and don't respect other people's items. Congratulations, LensCrafters, for earning my first 1-star review! So, I ran out of contact lenses and I needed a new prescription. Go figure the mandatory school insurance I pay an arm and a leg for doesn't cover vision. So I called around, trying to find the cheapest place for me to have an eye exam and procure a contact lens prescription. First, I go with old reliable. Wal*Mart, of course! They told me their eye exams would run me about $130 or something. I vaguely recalled paying only $89 at a Costco back home. So I decide to make a few more calls. I called this particular LensCrafters, after feeling discouraged. They quoted me $80. I specifically asked if it includes everything I need for a prescription. The woman on the phone said yes. This place sounded like a dream come true! I immediately made an appointment ASAP. I arrive at my appointment, and everyone was friendly and nice. They got my paperwork set up. And then they told me that the eye exam would be $80, but I needed a contact fitting and some other ridiculous things tacked on, which would have given me a grand total of $180. I told them about my initial quote and the man that helped me told the doctor my dilemma. The doctor said to honor the quote they had previously given us. So far, so good, right? I do the eye exam thing, get my prescription, paid $80. While I was waiting for something, a lady walks by and looks at my chart, and tries to charge me the extra $100 that had previously been voided. Therein lied the problem. No one had made a note anywhere of my special circumstance. I told her my story, she said okay. And also did not make a note on my paperwork. No more than a month later, I receive a bill, asking me for the $100 I was not supposed to pay. Enraged, I immediately called the number on the phone. I told the lady my story AGAIN, and she said, "Well, it says you owe this much." I said, "I was THERE at the STORE and I paid with credit card. If I owed more, I would have been able to pay it right then and there. Why would I separate these bills? Plus, I would NOT have paid that ridiculous price for an eye exam anyway." She told me she was going to call the LensCrafters store because apparently, the phone number that was on the bill was for the doctor's real office. She told me she would call me back briefly. I wait. And wait. I didn't leave my phone thinking that the moment I left it, I'd miss a phone call. It's been a month. She still hasn't called back. And I still haven't paid. And to put the nail in the coffin, the man that helped me told me that their prices are comparable to Wal*Mart's and he broke down the costs for me. Well, here's news for you. I just went to Wal*Mart and purchased new contact lenses, a whole $60 less than you quoted me. Thank you guys, but no thanks. I am never coming back. read more

Living between San Francisco and Paris, I wasn't sure that the Lenscrafters in Manchester, NH was going to have the style of eye wear that I wanted (yes, I know that sounds kind of snobby). I have also had a couple of negative experiences with the mass retailed optical shops - so I was somewhat hesitant to try Lenscrafters. The doctor was very professional and efficient. While it is like an assembly line, I never felt hurried and the doctor answer all my questions and seemed to spend plenty of time. I am not sure of the qualification of the young lady at the front desk, but she actually completes a good portion of the exam - including the pictures and testing. I very very impressed with the professionalism of the sales staff, as well as the very adequate options of eye wear brands. True, they do not have the highest end brands but the selection was certainly enough that I bought 2 pair. The fitting process is quite modern - where they take pictures of you wearing the glasses so that the lenses can be customized to your eyes. Of course, there is the up-sell of various can't live without features but it wasn't too bad and not pushy at all - and I did actually buy the $30 insurance policy. When I went back to pickup my glasses - after just one hour - the lady who did the final fitting took adequate time to adjust the glasses and make sure that they were comfortable and well fitted. Overall, I had a very positive experience with this Lenscrafters and would recommend it to anyone. I can't speak to the prices of the glasses, as my insurance is quite good and covers most of the cost. read more

Went to LensCrafters after waiting over 30 days and still no glasses from Dr. Dexter Vision Center in Keene. LensCrafter had the same Coach frames and I received them in 5 Days. I was picking out new glasses today and we were in the middle of trying them on, getting ready to pay when the woman selling us the glasses picks up the phone that was ringing and schedules an appointment for a different client right in front of me and my mother. I'm usually indifferent to things like this, hell, I downloaded yelp just to write this review. But this phone call lasted over 10 minutes and even I began to get impatient. It was incredibly rude. There were other representatives that weren't in the middle of a sale that could have handled this. She was very indifferent to us and obviously just wanted as many clients as possible for money. Other places around the area are cheaper too, I'd recommend going there before I ever want to step foot inside this Lenscrafters for as long as I live. read more

My first real experience as an adult buying glasses. I've been wearing the same ones since I was 17! Fast forward to my day at Lenscrafters! Everyone there is so helpful. I don't have insurance, but one of my coworkers told me about half off lenses day and I made sure I was present! They took me right in at 10 am, I had an eye exam, then I was off to pick the glasses I wanted. I picked out a pink Ray Ban pair, and got 50% off sunglasses. They fitted me for the glasses and they were ready the next morning. Both pairs of glasses, scratch proof lenses and two cases with an eyeglass care kit, as well as the eye exam came out to only $728. For someone without insurance, that is phenomenal. I ended up saving over $380 with the half off lenses deal AND the sunglasses being 50% off too! read more

Katarina did a lot of coughing into her hand. Handing me stuff & touching things in the exam room. Not once did she wash her hands. She should have stayed home. My first time getting glasses, and lens crafters made it so easy. Came in, picked out some frames with the help of my boyfriend and some help from a couple employees. By the time I picked my frames and was ready to get the process started, they had already pulled up my health insurance and applied a discount without me having to show my information. Wendy was very helpful and simply explained all of the details. This being my first pair of glasses I had quite a few questions. I certainly didn't expect to walk out of there with glasses on my face that same day! Wendy had them ready for me within a half hour.
