Stopped in to get new glasses. The place was very cramped & crowded as they are renovating the space. It was difficult to look at the glasses given the tightness of the space. Picked out glasses & ordered them. Never got a call back or text that my glasses were in. I called twice & no one answered the phone. Also stopped by one evening & they were closed with a sign saying they were closed for a few days. OK. Stopped in again & finally was able to get my glasses. It was really a hassle & not a pleasant experience & I would not get glasses again from this place. read more

Went to LensCrafters for my exam, the doc was great. It was an easy in and out appt. The front desk agent greeted me right away and was very friendly. I unfortunately have a phobia of the eye puff thingy they do, and she helped me through it with her humor. I will definitely return. I bought 2 pairs of progressive glasses at Eyeglass Maxx. The worst service I have ever experienced. Took the glasses to LensCrafters at the Siesta Key location. Asked if I could have my glasses tweaked. The woman said just hold on for a moment and she would get someone for me. Lucky me! I got Blake. He was so courteous and knowledgeable. I purchased two pairs of glasses: the first for computer, reading, and TV with transitions, and the second pair as polarized sunglasses for driving. i've been going to Lenscrafters for years, but not at UTC. I made an eye exam appointment and learned, after I arrived, that the eye exam is with Tru Vision and they don't take the insurance that every other LensCrafters take. while sitting in the waiting room, I listened to the receptionist tell customer after customer that their insurance is not accepted. i ended up just paying for the exam out of pocket, but it was very frustrating. read more

My frameless prescription Ray-Ban glasses (not sunglasses) broke - the posts popped out of the lens on one side and would not stay in place. Drove up shortly after opening and was greeted enthusiastically and served immediately. Turns out the glasses are under warranty and would be replaced for free! Turns out, in today's supply chain nightmares, RayA-Ban doesn't have my frames in stock:( BUT...the store has a set on display, which they shipped to the factory and in a week I had my new glasses! They stayed in touch via text and service was outstanding. Doesn't get better than that! read more

The minute my son and I walked through the doors we were treated as if we were family! Such a exceptional customer service by Laura and Rachel! The silly thing is we weren't even planning on actually getting anything, we came in because we where already in the mall Christmas shopping and decided to come in and take a look at a few different options for my son's first designer glasses. Laura from the beginning asked all the questions necessary to help my son find the perfect glasses that would fit his face as well as his personally. She gave us a lot of really good recommendations my son really felt very comfortable and ended up picking something I don't think we would've picked if it wasn't for all the help and information Laura gave us. I think if we would've gone anywhere else they would tried to sell us the most expensive frame and not actually cared about what fit my son's face the best. Laura was actually done with work and on her way out, she decided to help us out and boy we are glad she did! she told me about all the offers I could possibly use to get a discount (AAA discount and no insurance discount ! ) since I had no insurance, although it was still pretty pricey of course, it's understandable for designer glasses with the lenses, I know it was worth it! My son decided to go with the metal ray bans, we can't wait for them to be ready to be picked up! I also recommend getting the eyewear protection plan which will cover repairs up to 1 year if you scratch a lens or break the frame, there is a co-pay depending on what you need repaired, you can pay a $50 and get a whole new pair before the year is up which would be a new frame and lens! I say it's worth it if you're spending on much money on the frame and lens like myself. They had so many options from high end designers to low price but good quality frames. As you try some on they separate them so they can be sanitized before put back for others to try on. Very open, spacious and clean atmosphere. I truly appreciated Laura's honesty and customer service because I had many questions and she made this so smooth and a enjoyable experience while getting a lot of information. I highly recommend this place for eyewear needs and will be sending all my friends and family! read more

Great shades! But damn expensive or is that just relative. I bought my frames at Sunglass Hut and had LensCrafters input my prescription into the frames. Jim the optician was excellent! Professional, thorough, relatable and service focused. I love the work they did and would recommend them. It's have been nice after spending $600 on lenses that they may kick down a nice case but nah... Jim was great! LensCrafters is expensive. My glasses are bad ass! read more

I just called to have them order me the exact same gas-permeable lenses I purchased from them in 2018. They refused and said I would have to come in for an examination. I said that's not going to happen, just send me my prescription and I'll order them on-line, they refused to release my records to me, holding them ransom until I make the trip and sit through an exam. Now I will have to wear slightly scratchy hard contacts until I can go to a real eye doctor and get professional service. Who ever heard of NOT releasing a patients information like this? read more

The staff at this (very clean and welcoming) LensCrafters store (UTC Mall) were all very professional, prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly. Dr. Ngo was excellent as were Mit who initially greeted me, and Bill who took time to explain progressive lenses. I knew the frames I wanted as I had researched online, so I was in and out with an exam and measured for the frames, etc. in about 30-45 minutes. And I wasn't pushed into having any unnecessary tests, which I appreciated very much. Definitely recommend this business for your eye needs. read more

I had a bad experience. I don't like returning to a place 3 times to get glasses. I won't be returning. I think their staff is incompetent. Giving me glasses where the prx was transposed is an inconvenience and something I've never encountered in my 25 plus years of wearing contacts/glasses. When I returned to tell them my glasses made me sick the tech said you just have to wear them to get used to them?!? Umm no. Thankfully I had them double check because they entered the wrong prx. Dragging my 8 month old with me to this place 3 times to get something as simple as copying my same prx into new frames is completely ridiculous. Came in on a Sunday to get some new prescription sunglasses. It was busy waited about 20-25 min nobody said a word to me. Figured it was busy so I came back today. Already new what wanted stood around for 15min again nobody said a word to me. Sat down by the desk a lady came back made a phone call walk by me again without saying anything to me and waited on customers that just walked in. Waste of time. read more

Came back a few weeks later because the glasses kept falling off whenever i look down (I admit it was my fault for not realize it back then) but there was nothing they could do to adjust the glasses. I have been going to another location but they couldn't accommodate my schedule so I went to the UTC location. They have all new digital equipment and I was in and out of the eye exam in about 10 minutes. When it's time to choose your glasses you want to work with Truth, seriously that is his name,Truth. He really knows his stuff. He is a pleasure to work with and will give you an honest appraisal on your choice of glasses (keeps you from looking like a dork...thanks Truth!). NEVER AGAIN! The manager of the store Rachael sold me non prescription Rayban sunglasses $200 over the actual price compared to sunglass hut. Granted I should have shopped around more. She tried to tell me they had to make custom lenses to make them polarized when Rayban already offers them?? And even went as far as saying they would put the Rayban logo on them with a "P" for polarized, obviously because this is a lense they already have!! I was told the lenses needed to be made overnight, and never took them home. She charged $360, and now 4 days later she can't find the time to return my money.
