I love how the apartment gives a home-like feel.! The square footage is pretty much that of a home and makes you feel like you're in a house sometimes and not an apartment. Sometimes I catch myself having such quiet days that I forget we're in an apartment! We recently toured a home and I thought.."I think our apartment is better than this home lol". I love being just up the road from my fave places such as Starbucks, Publix, Aldi, Beaute Nails, and even both of our parents, which is a definite plus.! Maintenance is nice and attentive and the office ladies are nice as well. They really try to integrate everyone and be an actual community, which is nice and it shows they care.! I love being by the bark park for when we take our dogs out. I also love how I always have a parking space near our apartment and don't have to walk far. Parks Construction was hired to do a rebuild after we had some mold remediation work done. Per the Madison County Inspections Department they never even filed for a permit for our approximately $42,000 job. The Home Builder's Board informed us he was solely licensed as a Builder and not licensed to do the electrical work and plumbing work he had his construction workers do. When we informed Thomas about the outlets left hanging out of our walls and the live electrical wires his workers shoved into our kitchen walls, the defective GFIs they installed, and the numerous leaks left behind there was ZERO accountability instead he responded that we "have no leaks and electrical issues" and threatened to sue us and put a lien on our home within 24 hours. We have been working to correct the mess left behind for over two months now. Per a seperate inspector they didnt even install our vinyl flooring correctly and it has to be redone because they didn't leave room for expansion and they're actively snapping apart. You can't even reason with his office girl as she spews a bunch of professional talk at you and makes a bunch of excuses for his beligerent, aggressive behavior. Do your homework and don't buy into the reviews like I did. There is a complaint pending with the BBB that he quit responding to and a formal complaint being investigated by the Home Builder's Board. Ask to see a permit if you do hire Parks and verify licensing to do anything you're attempting to have done and DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!
