Went for lunch and the place has promise, but didn't quite live up to my hopes. The outdoor seating area could be so nice in the right circumstances, but with all the construction going on on the street (mid June 2019) it was hard to enjoy it. That, of course, is not the restaurant's fault, but still. Service was adequate but slow and not especially friendly, and the food was a bit up and down. I had a beet salad with baked goat cheese, and the beets were fine, and the goat cheese was excellent, but there was a truffled cream that I thought really overpowered the rest of the dish. We had our doubts coming into Leo's but the service and food were very good, albeit on the pricey side. We both had the dorade which was served whole and on the bone. It came with roasted Mediterranean veg plus roasted rosemary potatoes. All pretty tasty. We also washed it down with a bottle of local white which was delicious. This is a rather decent restaurant-cum-café, with a pretty cosy, as well as clean and well looked-after, interior and friendly staff. Caffè was good, croissants very good, but the roastbeef sandwich was a bit on the bland side and could do with some more flavour and seasoning. The side dish of Mexican style crisps was also a bit confusing. Prices aren't cheap, but I guess that couldn't be expected right in the centre of Baden-Baden. All things considered I can recommend Leo's - it might not be particularly special, but it delivers in the most crucial area for a restaurant of its kind. read more

Clean,classy, cool and cosy restaurant. As I try to do something just for me monthly; I finally made it to Leo's. A review I read recommended making a reservation, which is what I did from their homepage; up to and including what we wanted to eat. The waiter excuded confidence and class including dimming the lights upon my request and redimming them when someone else turned them up. My window seat/table had the appropriate eating utensils already there although at the last second I changed my mind about what I wanted to eat, it posed no problem, her steak was as pre ordered.........I'll be back:-) read more

Ambiance is cool. Food is not that great as seen in menu. Waiters are too busy with the crowd to help you fast.

Great resturant! Food great, so many interesting choices, cozy inside and great wine list. A bit pricey but in the city center. We will go back! read more

Leo's was amazing. Warm, welcoming atmosphere, nice crowd of locals, friendly staff. Everything we ordered was delicious. Tomato soup with goat cheese and basil was outstanding. Escargot was tender and the sauce was a perfect balance of butter and garlic. Dessert was their take on Black Forest Torte. Impressive. All in all, great restaurant. As for the reviews complaining about the servers not being attentive, we found that not to be the case. Here in Germany, you are not rushed to finish your meal. You can linger as long as you like. The servers are neither intrusive or impatient. You take your time, as do they. Quite refreshing, actually. read more
