I had an abnormal exam result and had to schedule an appointment for a procedure to determine if I have any precancerous or cancerous cells. When the doctor called me for this, she tried twice to transfer me to the desk and no one answered for 20 minutes. I just hung up. Then she called me back and tried again. No answer. She called me again and told me that someone would call me, and then I had to go to class so I forgot about it. I happened to have an appointment for something else a week or two later in between and she was shocked when I told her that I was never contacted to make that appointment, so I made it while checking out. So I did that, and went to the appointment, only to have a receptionist chuckle because she said I'd just had the same exam last month. As if I could forget that that quick. Then a different receptionist called me up and told me that they had put in the wrong insurance codes when they made this appointment, and so they couldn't see me for it, and they didn't have the equipment or time to do the procedure so we'd have to reschedule for 2 weeks. To check if I have cancer or precancerous cells. Which I might. We're going on 2 months ago in discovering this possibility. AND she discussed the procedure by name at the window, with other patients in line right behind me When I called my sister for an earlier ride than expected (my car is in the shop so I had to get dropped off) and told her they had to reschedule because it was scheduled wrong, this receptionist slammed the glass door closed (I was being completely calm). This in addition to them always trying to schedule me on a Tuesday or Thursday, seconds after I tell them that those days aren't good for me, and a 5 day stint of them giving me the runaround to get an important prescription refilled. They antagonize every patient when they are not within ear shot. I overheard the receptionist saying, "Get off your phone, get off your phone...." while a patient was respectfully standing AWAY from the window, finishing his phone call. She had plenty of time to wait and the waiting room was nearly void of patients at the time. Doctor THOMAS BARRIGER called me by the wrong name and simply shrugged and said, "Well close enough!" My mother, who also sees Dr. Haber, had a horrible fall late last year and had to be rushed to the hospital. Due to the specific circumstances of her fall, the police became involved and ruled out the possibility of foul play. The police concluded that this was a tragic accident with no one else involved. Dr. Haber, however, insists that this was not a fall and that my mother was assaulted. This is impossible, as our neighborhood has almost 40 cameras, with a camera capturing footage at the front of my mother's house AND at the back. Dr. Haber insists that a "left-handed person" assaulted my mother and that "he's seen this type of injury multiple times" (per my mother.) My next visit to Dr. Haber pertained to a refill of my ADHD medication. During the visit, I was asked by Dr. Haber if I was the one who assaulted my mother... No, I did not assault my own mother. I was 250 miles north, at my apartment, when her fall happened AND I'm right-handed. Attempts to reach out to this office have been unsuccessful. Attempts to switch physicians have been unsuccessful, as this office refuses to fax over my medical records for continuation of care. This behavior is completely unacceptable, especially from a physician who sees my entire family. If you're shopping for a PCP, find one that's younger who doesn't treat his patients like shit.

Dr. Bruce Ruben is a very caring, and highly trained Doctor. I have always been able to get in…read moreright away, with his well trained staff too. They are there for you seven days a week. I was having an IV every day for 16 days straight, and they were there for me during the holidays. I just cannot say enough good things about the care I received from him and his staff. They become like family to you. I have always been a hard one to get a good vein to take blood or to start an IV, but their nurses got me every time with no more than one poke, and I would never even feel it. That is saying a lot for me. Any time I have ever gone to the hospital it is at least 3 pokes and I then say you are done. Get someone who knows what they are doing. His office his like your home. Even when you are having an IV, you can watch TV and be served with juices and healthy snacks. It is so much better than a hospital any day ! I highly recommend going there for any sore or open wound to get the best care you can get! Love, love these people who care for you like you were their family. Thank you Dr. Ruben and staff!
