No explanation of what could be hurting me or why. At the follow up, he poked 5 minutes more, said "lumbar injury, you need physical therapy." When I asked if we should do more testing before sending me to physical therapy, to rule out more serious injuries, "It's time to accept that bad things happen to good people, and deal with it" were his warm and caring words. Smug bastard.

Quack, quack, quack…read more.. This doctor does not follow common practices of his profession. There was an extra $35 charge (undisclosed ahead of time) on top of the medical visit charges for filling out Workers Comp forms of about 10-14 fields that only needed check marks, his name, and the diagnosis. Every other person I know of that has ever needed a Workers Comp form filled out by their doctor has had it completed as part of the visit. When asked about this extra charge it was explained that the doctor needed to spend a lot of time filling the form out. If it too more than 5 minutes then he is incompetent in my opinion. Once a complaint was filled about his unusual billing practice he sent a letter advising that patient had created an environment in which he could not provide care and asking patient to find a new provider while explaining that the governmental workers comp forms were additional work that he should be compensated and that the forms had nothing to do with a medical treatment or condition. What!? The reason work was missed for an expended period was due illness, so how are the state forms to document that condition not considered part of the visit. The doctors letter also stated that patient wanted these forms on demand. However the doctor did not complete the forms for three business days after having faxed them to the practices office, and then they refused to fax the completed forms back and said they would have to be picked up in person as fax machines are "too unreliable". To make it even worse, a Workers Comp agent eventually called to advise that the doctor had failed to accurately and completely fill out the forms... Maybe the patients should charge him $35 to fill out their new patient paperwork and annual privacy disclosures, after all that is more work and intensive than the simple fill in the blanks for that he could not even complete accurately! Besides the doctors poor business practices, he also has a poor bedside manner. At the few visits made to his practice (before finding a new doctor), he acted in a cold, uncaring, and detached manner. His office staff woman was also cold and uncaring on all interactions for the appointments that were treated here as well. Not sure how this doctor passed his evaluations of bedside manner and professionalism at medical school, guess some people are only in it for the money.

Every…read moreinteraction I've had with the office has been met with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. Recently, Dr. May personally reached out to offer assistance and support, which truly meant a lot to me. In a healthcare environment where patients can sometimes feel like just another number, Dr. May and his team consistently make me feel heard, valued, and cared for. The entire staff is responsive, compassionate, and always willing to go the extra mile. Their dedication to their patients does not go unnoticed. What could have been a stressful situation was made so much easier simply because of the support and reassurance I received from everyone involved. I am incredibly grateful to have Dr. May as my physician and highly recommend him and the Scripps Ranch team to anyone looking for a healthcare provider who combines excellent medical care with genuine compassion.

I'd sit there like a dummy, twiddling my thumbs. During my last visit, after another hour of waiting, I decided to open the door and step out to look for anyone who could give me an update. When I did, I ran into Dr. Hodgkin. I told him that I went to look for somebody since I was left for an hour in the room, and his response was, why would you do that? No apology for the delay. He then said annoyingly for me to go back into the room so that he could exam me. The quality and attitude of care is lacking. Maybe it depends on the day, but I don't have another hour to throw away to find out.

I want to start off by saying that I have been a patient with Dr Ertl for almost 10 years. She is…read morean amazing provider and I have had absolutely zero issues with her as a doctor. She is absolutely amazing and listens to her patients and lets them set the pace. However, the issue that I have is with everyone else at the practice. First issue: I started a new medication that required a pre-authorization from my insurance. That can be a little daunting with insurance companies I understand but it took me two solid months to get the pre-approval and it wasn't my insurance fault because they approved it within days of actually getting the proper paperwork. The first issue with that was that for some reason the clinic put an address down on my paperwork that I haven't lived at in over 5 years. I update my address with the doctor's office every single time I move and I verify it at every appointment because they asked if anything has changed. I wasted weeks trying to get this figured out. The second issue with this instance: the frustrating thing is that I called multiple times a week and left multiple voicemails with no response until I finally started getting upset which is when they finally called me and ended up getting it fixed. The next thing is what actually caused me to switch to a different PCM because I can't do this anymore. I requested that my prescription be switched over to Express Scripts because of the cost difference. I requested over the phone for the doctor's office to send in the prescription to Express Scripts which they did not. I then was able to get Express Scripts to send a fax over to the doctor's office so all they had to do was fill the paperwork out and send it back. They did not do that either. It took so long without a response that Express Scripts ended up just canceling the entire order because they didn't receive anything from the doctor's office. I then did it a second time period with absolutely no response either. With both of these prescription requests I called over and over and over again and left multiple voicemails with maybe every fourth phone call being returned. About a week and a half ago I called and left a very long voicemail complaining about this situation and someone finally called me back and said that the medical assistant that was supposed to be in charge of filling the prescriptions had zero notes on anything that I had said in the past about this prescription. I checked my electronic medical record through Dr Ertl's office and lo and behold the request from Express Scripts was faxed to the doctor's office, uploaded to my medical record, not filled out, and then blatantly ignored because they never sent it in even though it says to respond within 48 hours.

If you doubt whether Dr. Razon is a racist, just one visit will confirm my claim. Her skills as a physician don't seem very comprehensive. For instance, I have hypogonadism, which is a fairly common, lifelong condition that occurs in men. Dr Razon is the firsf doctor I have ever seen who had absolutely no idea what hypogonadism is, and likewise what medication to prescribe for it. If that weren't enough, she shuttered her business during this pandemic while still collecting from insurance companies as if she was still seeing patients. That being said, I think it's time for me to order a phd degree from the school she went to so I can start my own pratice. Hey, it worked for her, right? So sorry I cant give zero stars!

She needs to be put out of business and reported to the medical board to have her license revoked…read more I say this wholeheartedly. The doctor wouldn't allow me to see my medical records "because it's the law." I asked, "Which law?" and the woman told me to look it up online. If I'm being diagnosed and treated by a doc, they better damn well know the laws related to their practice. Not only that -- she berated me, saying I wouldn't understand what was in my file because I'm "not a nurse, not a doctor" (she's wasn't being professional whilst addressing this). She created quite the scene, stating all this in a raised, angry tone in front of her sub-par staff (communication lacking) and waiting patients in the small, cramped waiting room. FYI -- her entire office needs new literature and posters (shits been there for 20+ years). I called every medical organization I could immediately following the incident. I was advised and had written a formal request for my records with postal certification/signature required but not long after I received the confirmation my purse was stolen along with the documentation (what luck, right?). In any case, she never replied back (by phone or mail) even though she had signed for receipt of the letter and I still do not have my medical records. Needless to say, I do not trust this woman. I absolutely did not appreciate my own medical history and information being withheld from me. She was unprofessional, ignorant, and demeaning. As a family doctor, I'm appalled that I was ever under her care as a child. She recalled more about my family's dysfunction and relations than my own personal health history.
